Damkjernite locality (Damkjernite = melanocratic variety of nepheline lamprophyre). The damkjernite is exposed partly in an quarry and along a roadcut. (Branaråsen quarry and an in a roadcut along Romnesvegen). The locality is protected as a Naturminne (Nature reserve).

The damkjernite of this locality, the socalled Brånan type contains large (5-6mm) phenocrysts of pale-brown phlogopite, pyroxene, apatite and nepheline in a finer groundmass.
