A group of four small veins which have been worked for barytes by a series of opencuts and shallow shafts on Knitsley Fell.
A level driven by the Weardale Barytes Mining Co. in 1918-1919 was unsuccessful.
The grid ref given is for a shaft into the Third Grit (Millstone Grit Series) on the most productive of the workings.
