Military path of la Baisse de Merlier (Ski resort of Isola 2000), near the old road "Route des Italiens".

A big vein (between 200 and 300 m long and 1 to 2 meters wide) of quartz with galena in gneisses and migmatites. Worked before 1900 (1875-1895).

French Lambert III coordinates : x=982 to 982,30 ; y=3220,85 to 3221 and z=2200 to 2300

"At Isola 2000 the old Merlier mine yields arsenopyrite, bournonite, cerussite, enargite, galena, pyrite, pyrrhotite, quartz, and sphalerite." [Belot, 1978]
