Descrição Geológica: Dois sistemas de filões quartzosos e pegmatíticos com direcções NE - SW e NW - SE. O filão principal de quartzo branco e defumado, às vezes brechificado, tem rumo N 40º a 50º E, pendor 80º SE e 0,8 m de possança; brecha quartzo-limonítica nos encostos.
Geologia Local: Faixa de Moimenta-Trancoso-Celorico da Beira onde predominam filões de quartzo branco, defumado e zonado e de rochas básicas mineralizadas com pecheblenda, sulfuretos e minerais secundários de urânio, com rumo N 10º a 20º E e N 30º a 50º E, que intruem granitos monzoníticos porfiróides.
