A gypsum occurrence located in sec. 26, T10S, R18E, in the extreme SE corner of Pinal Co., about 1 mile E of the San Pedro River, E side of the San Pedro Valley, 6 miles N of Reddington and S of Kielberg Canyon.

Mineralization is hosted in the Gila group of lacustrine sediments. Saline units lie beneath a 2300 square mile area. Potash in a 300 square mile area at depths of 700 to 2000 feet within the upper 150 feet of evaporite. The top of the evaporite is marked by an anhydrite-gypsum zone at a depth of 600 to 2500 feet. The principal halite sequence (400-1300 feet thick) lies between the Fort Apache Limestone member of the Supai formation and the overlying Coconino Ssandstone. The main halite unit of interest is 400 feet thick. The halite occurs in the subsurface of an area of 2300 square miles.

Workings include over 150 drill holes, drilled in 1964-1965, to explore the potash deposit.
