Spanish colonial silver mine which suffered from exhalation of CO2 and H2S gas and was abandoned in 1923. It is located in the southeast corner of the district and will soon be swallowed up by the new San Cristobal open pit project. Unusual for bolivian silver ores because of the abundant specular hematite crystals in the vein gangue.
