This is a privately owned claim, and the site is locked, gated, and actively monitored. Collecting without direct permission is illegal, and violators will be prosecuted. (status checked 2026)

A former U-V occurrence/mine located in sec. 30, T44N, R18W, NMM, 1 mile (1.61 km) NW of Slick Rock, on Bureau of Land Management and/or private land (located claim). Owned by the Union Carbide Corporation (100%), Grand Junction, Colorado (1975). Operated by D.C. Bunker, Nucla, Colorado (1975). Owned and operated by the D.C. Bunker Mining Company (year = ?). First produced in 1955. The USGS MRDS database stated that the accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

A U-V deposit with (an) orebody(ies) covering an area of 2.8 hectares, with a depth-to-top of 145 meters (minimum depth-to-top of 137 meters). Orebody No. 1 is sedimentary and irregular; orebody No. 2 is tabular; and orebody No. 3 is lenticular. The primary mode of origin was residual concentration, and the secondary mode was oxidation. The primary ore control was lithology, and the secondary control was bedding. Wall rock alteration is moderate (bleaching). Local rocks include rocks of the Morrison Formation, the Summerville Formation, and the Entrada Sandstone.

Workings include unspecified underground openings.
