Perovskite-magnetite/ilmenite veins, often filled with calcite, in serpentinite.

Although good specimens can be found in all Sasso Moro area, the main localities are:
- Sasso Moro NE spur, above the path between Alpe and Forcella di Fellaria at an elevation of about 2550 m. Perovskite, as yellow-brown crystals up to 18x15x12 mm, in association with magnetite;
- second depression to the east of Alpe Gera dam, above the path leading to Capanna Bignami at an elevation of 2200-2300 m. Perovskite, as brown or reddish-brown crystals with edges up to 12 mm, in serpentinite clefts or completely embedded in calcite;
- near Sasso Moro top, at an elevation of about 2900 m. Perovskite, as brown individual crystals (sometimes showing octahedron or rhombododecahedron faces) and their aggregates up to 42x39x35 mm, in association with ilmenite, magnetite, diopside, and clinochlore. Copper minerals (native copper, bornite, and malachite), sphalerite, and titanite (yellow to yellow-green crystals) are sometimes found in calcite veins.
For another important locality situated on the western slope of Sasso Moro, to the west of Forcella di Fellaria, see http://www.mindat.org/loc-258894.html.

Veins consisting of Ti-bearing hydroxylclinohumite, magnetite, diopside, and clinochlore occur in all Sasso Moro area.

Provided coordinates refer to the first sublocality (Sass Moro NE Spur)- the prospective area is indeed as large as the whole Sasso Moro mountain.
