A Cu-Au-Ag-Pt claim/mine located near the SE corner of sec. 7, T40N R34E, WM, 2.3 miles SW of Danville and 2 miles W of the Danville-Curlew highway from a place 2 miles south of Danville. Owned previously by Charles Rogers, Curlew, Washington (1954). From 1984 to 1985, Vulcan Mountain Mining Co. renamed the property the Gold Dike Mine. Vulcan Mountain produced 150,000 tons of ore averaging 0.10 ounce Au/ton and 0.15 ounce Ag/ton. The ore was processed by heap leaching.

Mineralization is hosted in metasedimentary rock. The deposit is a mineralized ledge composed mainly of feldspars. Ultramafic rocks are adjacent to host rock to the E. Alteration locally is seritization. Local rocks include Triassic sedimentary rocks, undivided and/or Tertiary alkali intrusive rocks.

Workings include surface and underground openings. Old workings were comprised of a 35 foot deep shaft. The more recent operations created an open pit.

Assay analyses results: Assays report considerable Pt.
