A former placer Au-Ag (sand & gravel ?) mine located in secs. 13-19, 20, & 21-24, T11S, R20E, MDM, 9.3 km (5.8 miles) WSW of Friant, along the San Joaquin River. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
MRDS database file note by staffer: Why is this called a gold property, when it is named an aggregate and the site has been mined for aggregate to make the dam located a short distance up river? Either the commodities are incorrect, or their is placer gold, in which case this should have sand and gravel as another commodity. I think the production records referred to in the comments section applied to another property.
Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
