A granite quarry mining "Wisconsin Ruby Red". Granite (part of the 1.45 billion year old Wolf River Batholith) from this quarry represented Wisconsin in "The Fountain of Freedom" in Philadelphia. In 2018 the quarry had been abandoned, with large piles of granite blocks around the periphery of a water-filled pit.
