A former Hg occurrence/mine located in the E½SE¼NW¼NE¼ sec. 19, T18S, R12E, MDM, 0.6 km (2,000 feet) WNW of Picacho Peak, on the SW edge of the New Idria serpentinite body. Discovered prior to 1870. Owned by the Hernandez Quicksilver Mining Company. Produced during the periods 1902 to 1908, 1910 to 1911, 1913 to 1915, 1918, 1932, 1935, 1939 to 1940 and 1942. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in the Panoche Upper Cretaceous sandstone and shale. The ore body is lenticular. Shears occur in the serpentine. Local alteration includes silica carbonate alteration in Franciscan Serpentine. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 3 (Coast Ranges and Western Klamath Mountains).

Local structures include a NW-trending, SW-dipping shear zone.

Workings include surface and underground openings with a length of 914.4 meters.
