Last records of mining date to 1925, with reworking of the dumps for arsenic in 1954.
The site has become extensively overgrown. However the ruins of several buildings are still standing in the south-west corner of the site where there is also a deep open shaft.
To the north-west are 2 adjacent, filled shafts.
In the centre of the sett are several ruins which include concrete plinths of the sort normally for jigging tables.
The open tip has apparently been excavated for hardcore used in the track that connects the 2 dwellings with the public road to the west. There are copious amounts of pyrite / marcasite and chalcopyrite but insignificant quantities of the other minerals listed by Dines.
Dines records that the main years of working were 1852-85 and that for much of the time it was worked with Wheal Edward to the west, the setts arbitrarily separated by a crosscourse close to the road. The mine was prospected again in 1918.
At various periods Dines records outputs of 156 tons black tin, 11300 tones of copper ore, 30 tons pyrite, 101 tons arsenic soot. There is no figure for wolfram.

ⓘ Chalcopyrite Formula: CuFeS2 References:
ⓘ Ferberite ? Formula: FeWO4 Description: Golley & Williams (1995) report ferberite from Wheals Arthur and Edward, quoting Dines (1956). Though, Dines records ferberite only from a cross-course in the western part of the workings on North Lode, i.e. from Wheal Edward sett. On the other hand, since 'wolframite' is confirmed from both mines by various authors, the occurrence of ferberite at Wheal Edward is still possible .
ⓘ Galena Formula: PbS Description: Minor amounts of sphalerite and galena occurred in a cross-course, 43 fms west of Engine Shaft on North Lode.
