A small mine, started around 1800 and initially worked for copper. In 1831, after some time of inactivity, it was amalgamated with Carn Brea Mine, along with the neigbouring Barncoose Mine and Wheal Fanny (the latter including Tregajorran Mine). The Druid section was abandoned in 1914, when the values at depth had become irregular and the recovery poor.

The sett includes two NE-trending lodes, known as Druid's North Lode, which carried copper ores, and Druid's South Lode, which carried copper an tin ores (this lode is the same as Providence Lode of Tincroft Mine). They are hosted in granite on the west, but eastwards pass into metamorphosed killas. Druid's South Lode was opened up from a series of shafts over a distance of about 750 yards along its strike. From southwest to northeast, these were New Shaft and Monument Shaft (both in Carn Brea section), Druid's Engine Shaft and Macdonald's Shaft. Until 1818, the workings reached a depth of 68 fms below adit (100 fms below surface; Thomas, 1819). Some of the shafts can still be traced from a series of dumps at the foot of Carn Brea. The grid reference marks the site of Druid's Engine Shaft, of which nothing remains.

As a separate mine, Wheal Druid raised 176 tons of copper ore in 1816 and 1817. Later outputs are included in the figures for Carn Brea Mine.

In the north-east corner of the access land are several small tips which produce some samples but the area is probably inaccessible during summer months due to thick undergrowth. Further towards Carn Brea mine a little off the footpath is a pile of mine waste around the foot of an electric pole, however, it is barren and almost impossible to reach even in February (Feb. 2023.)
