Worked from 1857 to 1862, and re-worked from 1910 to 1914, producing small quantities of copper, tin, tungsten and silver. The mine explored three NE-trending lodes, known as North Entral, Silver Course and South Entral (also referred to as South Crofty) lodes, on both sides of the valley between Barripper and Penponds.

From 1857 to 1859, the mine produced 234 tons of silver ore, mostly chlorargyrite. In 1862, 43 tons of 7.5% copper ore were raised. When it was prospected in 1910, economic quantities of black tin and wolfram were assayed in samples from South Entral Lode, but the workings were abandoned in 1914.

The grid reference marks the overgrown dumps, which are located just north of Barripper village.
