Synonym:
A synonym of Vránaite
A naturally occurring phase, with the approximate composition Al16B4Si4O38 occuring together with boralsilite in the Manjaka pegmatite, Sahatany Valley, Madagascar was reported by Novák et al. 2015, as "boron-mullite".

It was later approved as a new mineral species, IMA2015-084, and named as vránaite.
