man I miss LJ for posting fandom shit. Tumblr is USELESS for that, you can't have a proper conversation. I just finished a fic and I'm about to put it online and I have just no community to share it with. so lame.
Also I graduate with a Masters degree in animation in a month and then I'll be moving back to Olympia.
actually i probably shouldn't be so worried about fandom shit when I consider I have 1 month to finish my thesis... and yet, here we are.

so someone is making a Soul Eater collab project thats gonna be I guess like a dance video project. you draw like four frames of a Soul Eater character dancing at at rave and make it into a GIF, and then we make a music video. info is here.
I figured since I volunteered to do Liz I'd see if anyone else who can draw wants to get in on this.

my God. of all the fandoms I've been in, I think this one has the most Mary Sues. In one page of fic, about 25 titles, 15 were OCs. I'm starting to believe at least half the fic on this site is OCs. This is what I get for getting bored and deciding to get back into Host Club.
But for all the Ouran-Sues, I do confess, I've never been in the Harry Potter fandom. I hear that one has a massive Sue problem.
I am having a hard time finding something to read. Whats that? ...a book? ...psht. I'm deliberately trying not to be smart right now.

Holy shit this entry is so long I don't think I'll have anything else to say for the rest of the week. I guess I'll post fanart or some shit.
well it might be tl;dr but have a look anyhow because I posted pictures.

I AM PARTICIPATING in the women love fest. This is a week long event celebrating female characters who get bashed by their fandom. (so, like, nearly every female character ever.) THEREFORE, for the next week starting Friday, I will be posting fangirl squee about Princess Zelda, whom I have chosen due to my upcoming nuptials. and by that I mean my Legend of Zelda themed wedding.

Holy crap you guys I'm writing Monochrome again whaaaaaaat thats crazy.
I've been in a fanfiction-y mood this week... Matt bought the new Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm or whatever video game which made me miss the hell outta that fandom, so he'd random up some fights and I'd go look up and see if there was any fic of those fighters in good ol' fanficdotnet (there usually was). I thought of two Skip Beat fics I wanna write... both of them smut... neither of which I'm sure where to post... I mean, theres no Skip Beat section on aff.net (do people even go there anymore besides me?) but its embarrassing to put them under my regular name, with all my pure and innocent fic. also one is a threesome so..... whose names do I put that under in the dropdown? huh.... theres that too.
then I re-read Monochrome today to see if I was even any good at writing and suddenly overcame my writers block for the next part of the story. so... hooray!
feels good to be writing again. Now if only I could get over this hump in my webcomics...

I think I just challenged someone to a smut war in the Skip Beat! fandom, LOL! She wrote half a fic and it stops just as it starts getting fun, so I'm like "BITCH! You didn't finish! Now I gotta do it!" And got a reply this morning, "I'll finish mine... maybe after you write yours!" So I respond basically "IT IS ON NOW" so I gotta write some dirty fanfic. But I actually thought of a fucking awesome premise this morning so if I get over the severe case of the giggles- my most challenging obstacle in dirty fic writing- that I always succumb to, maybe I'm up to it.

I've been re-reading the hell out of Skip Beat! This week since all the manga is on sale at Borders, and its funny because I love it, love the characters, the comedy, the challenges, the budding romances, but for probably the first time ever, I'm having a hard time shipping Kyouko with anyone. I mean, I think I'm supposed to ship her with Ren, but that guy is actually kind of a douche. Hes emotionally manipulative and always making Kyouko feel bad, even about shit that isn't her fault like Shou.... (Valentines Day SPOILER) and that guy who asked her out even though(/possibly because) it had nothing to do with him. She always feels like he's angry with her and she needs to apologize to him. What sort of relationship is THAT? As for Shou, I admit I love him and I love to read fic about him because he's probably the most entertaining character in the manga, and the romantic tension IZ DELEESHUS, but I can't ship him with Kyouko seriously because I think he only wants her because he can't have her. If her had her again, he'd probably dump her again. Also I still don't forgive him for hitting her. BAD FORM, FUWA.
So I guess the solution is for Kyouko to run away together with Kanae. AND NOTHING WOULD MAKE HER HAPPIER.

So has anyone else ever had something they were really into, and then all of a sudden it started to get really popular and on the one hand you're happy it's doing well but then on the other hand you just wanna shout "OMFG GO AWAY YOU POSERS ITS MINE"? I know I can't be the only one. Or like it was obscure but then this really popular person or celebrity gets into it so everyone else tags along and gets into it too because its the "cool" thing to do now? And then even though you really had nothing against this popular person or celebrity, you suddenly resent them just a little bit for getting a bunch of fairweather fans into YOUR thing?
I've been getting that lately.
I don't wanna say what because I'm sure I would start getting into arguments with people and I already know I'm being irrational. MOUSIE DON'T SAY WHAT.

but also I had a nightmare last night and I've been pissy and restless all day so thats probably just affecting my view of things.
