Matt and I decided to go on a cheap date and snuck some tacos into Toy Story 3. I saw the first two in theater and everyone said this was really good so I figured I ought to finish of the trilogy.
Oh my God that movie broke my heart. we were both in tears by the end. And walking out of the theater we couldn't help but wonder what became of our old childhood toys.
I still have three of mine- Shannon, a rag doll with yellow yarn pigtails that I named after me because it was the only name I knew at the time, Betty, a teddy bear who still sleeps on my bed, and Freckles, a porcelain clown doll. They go with me wherever I move.
The rest I'm not so sure of their fate, and that makes me feel bad now! I left a bunch at home when I moved out for my younger sisters to deal with. They've surely been Goodwilled by now. Hopefully not trashed. I made some of them myself, like a ballerina dolly and a family of ducks all named after cartoon characters. There was a teddy bear in a green dress I got from and named after a grandma who died a few years ago. I wonder where she is.
For Christmas this year I gave my younger sister two of her toys from when she was a kid. She left them at dad's house and I had no money to give her anything else, so I wrapped them up. She said it was the best broke college kid re-gifting anyone's ever gotten. Shes 25. I hope her dollies are happy with her again =)
Hows Wolfie, Mouse? That little collie toy you loved so much? That was his name, right?
And everyone else? Where are your old toys?
