Tutorial: Springflowers textures - Pt. 01 - Drawing the Flowers

I know it's already been a while since I've asked you which texture I should explain in detail... but I had my fourth anniversairy of my personal LJ yesterday and missed it, so I'm celebrating today with this first part. heeee.
anyway, apparently the more grungy one won. The first step though will be the same as for any of the others, and I'll try to cover some parts of the others as well.

We start with drawing our flowers. Don't worry it's easier than you think. You'll have to use the pen tool though, but I'm not good at handling it myself so you won't have to be nervous ;)

General Techniques: Watercolor background Textures

I can hardly move at the moment, my neck hurts like hell, it's sore and stiff. but it's a good enough reason to not clean up the apartment and watch Xena instead. (not embarrassed to admit it, heee, also I'm ever the optimist *g*)

ever wondered how to get the awesome watercolor background textures? me, too. so I spend some quality time with Erich and I'm pleased to announce that it is a lot easier than I thought it would be...

The Grunge Guide - Part II - Creating a Brush Set

We're making our own Grunge Brush Pack today. You should have completed Part I before this as we're using what we've already created.

Also I'll add a "rate the tutorial" poll from now on, as I realized that I'm judging the helpfulness of the tuts I'm posting by the number of people who defriend this community. Apparently the last one was not very helpful *g* I think a poll is a more accurate way ;)

another kind of styleguide: the Grunge Guide

hey there :) I'm busy as hell and still a little anti-social... but I managed to write down the first part of the Grunge Guide.
I splitted the whole thing into several parts. I suggest that you complete each part on its own before moving onto the next part as I will use the things we've already created in the upcoming parts :)
This first part covers grunge textures from scratch. As one of my last polls revealed that most of you are at least intermediate or advanced I don't explain any detail to excess. If I'm too vague or confusing please let me know and I'll edit it.

Fun with Filters II

I'm sorry I'm not very communicative lately...

but here's more Fun with Filters.
an easy but pretty background effect.

( Fun with Filters part IICollapse )

that's it for today. it can be used as a base for more complex textures or as a background just as it is.
