Jagrafess, what Jagrafess??

I sat out most of the 9 o'clock hour mostly because I'd seen the playlist for the last hour and knew I wanted to conserve some energy for dancing then, but there were some songs I couldn't help but dancing to, no matter how tired I was feeling. The vid show was amazing, all vidders are awesome, and the person who put together the vid show was awesome, and everyone dancing was extremely awesome. There were some really great premiering vids last night, but I don't want to talk about them until I have the list with the names on them. :-)

Everyone looked amazing; we had a lot of superheroes - I saw multiple Wonder Womans, Captain Americas, and Winter Soldiers, an Electra, and... at least one other superhero that I saw, but I can't remember which right now. Also someone in a free ball pit costume (from Dashcon meme fame), which was amazing and for which people occasionally had to catch stray balls, and a whooooooole bunch of glitter and sparkles. I wore a dark purple dress with glitter on the top which was surprisingly comfortable and would have been entirely so if not for my sunburn. My high heel shoes would have been comfortable if I'd not been standing/dancing in them for 3.5 hours, but my feet survived the night without wanting to kill me, so I count it as a plus.

Then after we went to gwyn's room for talitha78's Captain America room party, which was great. Saw a number of vids, including the following (that I remember):
- limnetic's recent & amazing Marvel vid;
- talitha78's Bucky/Steve vid Problem;
- our hostest gwyn's Orange Crush
- and premiering at the party, the sadly unable to attend the con kuwdora's 25 Miles, which was AMAZING (I'm using that word a lot, but it was broadly applicable last night)

Then we stayed and watched Captain America until 2 AM. I ended up next to serrico, who had never seen the movie before although she'd seen enough gifs to be thoroughly spoiled, and technically still hasn't seen the movie because it mostly wasn't loud enough to be heard over the sound of fangirls chatting away. I'm honestly surprised we didn't get a knock on the door a number of times asking us to be quiet. :-)

So a fun night was had by all, and I really need to get in the shower if I'm going to make my first vid show at 11.

ETA: Showered, and found at least one of the premiering Club Vivid vids: bradcpu's Sleepy Hollow vid In The Dark, music by Fallout Boy - My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light'em Up) - a great vid both to watch, but also to sing and dance to.

For anyone who's ever loved Harry Potter, go see this. Awesome fanvid showing many of our favorite characters throughout the years (although Snape fans should be warned that he seems to be missing). Mostly trio-focused, but with plenty of others also. Some scenes included from HPDH Part 1.

Had a bit of a downer day, so I thought I would rec a couple of fun fanvids:

Guilty Pleasure by me_maneuver, which is actually her first vid. It's really good! It's a Buffy the Vampire Slayer vid from the Season 6 musical episode, "Once More With Feeling". I haven't watched this episode in ages, but this vid reminded me of how much I love it. The music, which is Guilty Pleasure by Cobra Starship, fits the clips she's chosen very well, and vice versa. Lovely.

Then there's Pure Imagination, by chasarumba, which is a Doctor Who S5 vid, but it's really about the awesomeness of Doctor Who and some of its fairy tale-like qualities. (Frances, this is the one I was telling you about earlier this week.) The song is sung by Gene Wilder, from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. (As an aside, have any of my fellow US-ians seen the commercial out recently that uses this song? I like it, but I can't figure out what they're supposed to be advertising, exactly.) Spoilers for S5 of DW through episode 4.

Also, the Secretariat movie cannot come soon enough for me (Trailer HD720p 131MB).

ETA: I knew I was forgetting some vids I wanted to mention. Since I didn't want them to get stuck at the bottom of this post, I've made a new post. Enjoy!
