I do apologize that there is nothing much here at the moment but things are pretty hectic for me right now. I do not plan to totally abandon this community and when things are better, I shall return.

In the meantime, I would like to give a brief introduction to explain the intentions of this community and why I thought it was needed. I hope that you may have already got an idea as to the direction of echoleaf and that's why it might have piqued your curiosity. I felt that there was a need for a place for some of us older girls in lo_philes, saintlolita, or even academic_love (yes, lophiles are connected to that community contrary to popular belief) to feel more comfortable. I read many a post, lamenting the fact that they feel too old to be a nymphet anymore, or that they miss something about those ethereal years. But as we mature, our perceptions do change, though maybe one particular longing stays the same. Perhaps we had never even wanted to fill Lolita's shoes, but rather, loved the possibility or concept that someone could love us as much as Humbert loved his Lo. Maybe we are the anti-Lolita, representing everything that she was not. Even so, we do not reject her or the story of Lo and Hum. Still, what remains past the girlhood dreams and silly antics? Past Nymphethood, to Nymphood and what is beyond? Where are the echo leaf girls who once stood secretly ashamed of her dog-eared copy of Lolita, the one she had ever since she was 14?

Here is the place for them, I hope. My wish for this place is to be positive and compassionate, to be filled with stories of Hums that were pursued, silently or boldly, how we imagine our ideal Hum or Monsieur (whatever moniker you choose), growing pains, loss of virginity, painful and joyful recollections, solace for our souls, wisdom for our younger sisters, why we resent or embrace young adulthood, favorite lophile novels or movies, or anything else that pertains.

Welcome.
