Revision Delete
[edit]Hi there, I got here from Category:Wikipedia administrators willing to handle RevisionDelete requests. This revision was deleted as part of a WP:G5/WP:G8, and it looks like it got restored by a WP:RFUD request at one point when the new content was restored after a G13 down the line. I came to request that single revision be deleted per the original G5/WP:RD5. Thank you! -2pou (talk) 23:25, 20 April 2026 (UTC)
- OK, I have dropped that revision, but not through revision deletion. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 00:03, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
- The nuances escape me, but what I see satisfies what I was asking. Thanks! -2pou (talk) 00:17, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
File:MyFoxFM.png
[edit]Hi Graeme. Could you take a look at File:MyFoxFM.png? I'm pretty sure only the originally uploaded version needs to be deleted per F5 (due to the fox-tailed "x" in "Fox"). Another admin already responded to the {{orfurrev}} tag but deleted all of the old unused versions (of course totally in good faith). -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:42, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
- I revdelled that one with the tail. But it will stop auto import to commons. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 07:55, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks Graeme. Is it worth splitting the file at this photo? -- Marchjuly (talk) 11:58, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
- If someone wants to use that logo with tail then yes, otherwise it would be a split and a delete for non-use. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 12:00, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
- I don't think there's a valid non-free use for the former logo, at least not given the current state of the article. I'll post a message on the uploader's page and ask them to re-upload a higher-res version to Commons. The local file should then be OK to delete per WP:F8 (I think). -- Marchjuly (talk) 12:03, 21 April 2026 (UTC)

File:Visva-Bharati Badge.svg
[edit]Hi Graeme. File:Visva-Bharati Badge.svg was overwritten a few days ago, and the "new" version seems too complex to be "PD-logo"; so, I've reverted back to the previous text-only version. Could you take a look at see whether this really was the case and maybe assess whether it's worth splitting the "new" version off as a separate non-free file? -- Marchjuly (talk) 11:06, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
- I just rev-deled it as the change is the logo in File:Visva-Bharati University Logo.svg Graeme Bartlett (talk) 11:58, 5 May 2026 (UTC)

File:Sunil Gehani In St Lucia, as IMA - St Kitts President.jpeg
[edit]Hi Graeme. Could you take a look at File:Sunil Gehani In St Lucia, as IMA - St Kitts President.jpeg because it's kind of a mess. It looks like its been overwritten thrice by different users and the most recent version is actually a collage of multiple photos. The originally uploaded and first overwrite versions might be the uploader's "own work", but it seems pretty doubtful (at least to me) the most recent collage version is. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:46, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- Since it was uploaded by another user the copyright is obviously false, so I have scrapped that new upload. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 08:30, 11 May 2026 (UTC)

I have sent you a note about a page you started
[edit]Hi Graeme Bartlett. Thank you for your work on Carbon sulfide selenide. Another editor, Mariamnei, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
Thank you for your work on this article. Please add a source for "It is immiscible in water, but dissolves in acetone, benzene, bromoform or ethyl alcohol." Thanks and have a great day!
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Mariamnei}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
Xenon hexafluropalladate moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Xenon hexafluropalladate. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because Heavily relies on a cite that does not appear to mention this compound at all. That casts doubt on the sourcing and integrity of the rest as well.. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. DMacks (talk) 03:52, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
tellurocyanate article creator here!
[edit]hello! thank you for your edits on my article, aka the tellurocyanate article. A few things...
- I really wish there was another way to link to the PubChem article for tellurocyanate, but since it is not in the chemical section but rather the substance section, I guess there isn't a way for anyone to link the PubChem article for tellurocyanate.
- I'm a rather unskilled Wikipedia editor, and I do not know how to categorize Wikipedia articles, so if you can, could you help me with that?
- Did you add the CAS number? If so, it doesn't seem to be working right.
I just want to improve the quality of my article as much as I possibly can. Sorry if this was unnecessary or uncalled for, I just saw that you edited my article and I wanted to get some help from someone more experienced than I am with wikipedia. thank you! GracefulFern3145 (talk) 23:34, 26 May 2026 (UTC)
- @GracefulFern3145: thanks for creating tellurocyanate. For pubchem substance I just ignore it and don't add it for the chembox, but you can insert it in drugboxes. If the entry in pubchem actually has useful extra info, you could use it as a reference in-line. But eventually PubChem will detect the Wikipedia and Wikidata entry. Hopefully a CID will appear later. For categories, I enabled the Hotcat gadget in the Preferences, and then I added categories in analogy to those for selenocyanate and the category for category:selenocyanate. Yes I did put the CASNo in, and it is not in commonchemistry. Looking at what pages I checked before adding it, it came from Chinese Wikipedia https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%A2%B2%E6%B0%B0%E9%85%B8%E7%9B%90 (zh:碲氰酸盐, so it is not exactly a reliable source. This website https://www. lookchem .com/cas-259/25928-34-1.html is talking about HTeCn, so the CASNo may be wrong. If you know for sure it is incorrect, please remove it. Best to ask someone with access to CAS to check it out. You can also ask for help or participate in the project on chemicals here: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Chemicals. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 12:49, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
- Hello again!
- For starters, thanks for showing me the Chinese article for tellurocyanate...I've become inspired! And they have a tellurocyanate image!!!!! I'm so happy, I've been trying to find one for a while that would work on wikipedia! I also enabled hotcat and wanted to add some categories, and found that there were already categories! You seem to have added them, so thanks again!! I added a few more categories for safe measure, to telluro and selenocyanate so that they can match. (I based tellurocyanate heavily off selenocyanate, so I would like them to match)
- It's funny, because tellurium is nowhere near my favorite element. My favorite element is uranium. I like actinides and radioelements. lmao
- thank you for your edits! I'll be sure to participate in the talk page to find out more about that CASNo GracefulFern3145 (talk) 03:04, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

LGBT issues
[edit]are not inherently political. They are human rights issues. To see a comment such as this from somebody who has both been around as long as you have, and who is also an administrator is beyond disappointing. Electricmemory (talk) In solidarity 01:00, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Electricmemory: Human rights are political. It doesn't stop it from being important. Different people have different opinions. My opinion is that we should improve LGBT coverage in Wikipedia. afc on Dutch Customs Orchestra
[edit]Hello Graeme, being a rather irregular and unexperienced contributor to Wikipedia, I am not sure at all whether my request is appropriate, I just hope you'll tell me if it is. 3 months ago, I translated an article on the orchestra of the Dutch Customs Authorities into English and it's been at the bottom of the list in the Wikiproject Netherlands for quite a while now. Today I have looked at the history of the article of a similar organisation, The Orchestra of the Dutch Marines and I noticed that you contributed to that one. My question is, would you consider looking at my translation and giving me feedback? Or if you find it acceptable maybe even accept it and move it to the mainspace? If this is too bold a move or if you don't have the time for it, no problem of course, I just tried to get things moving a bit. Friendly regards, K-filter (talk) 21:44, 9 June 2026 (UTC)

File:Method of Modern Love.jpg
[edit]Hi Graeme. Could you take a look at File:Method of Modern Love.jpg? Someone has tried to overwrite this single's cover art twice (it could be the same person given it's kind of an obscure file and the two accounts have overlapping on several other files) with a related but completely different scan/picture of the single's label. I've reverted twice because it seems it should be uploaded as a separate file with its own non-free use rationale, but perhaps that was an overstep (?) on my part. Anyway, another opinion on this would be appreciated. It looks like the cover art might've come from here (a 1984 German release) or here (a 1984 US (?) release). -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:10, 14 June 2026 (UTC)
- Since it is a different image, it should be uploaded with another name. But as it was planned to use it in the same place, it is an easy and lazy way to replace the image in the article. SO a debate can happen as to which image is better in the article. I like the original, but that is likely irrelevant! I suggest that you talk to User talk:Sweeneytoddao about the situation to discuss what image is better, and where to put it. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:41, 14 June 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you Graeme. I've posted at User talk:RunTonyShells (they reverted back yet again) explaining why the overwriting is not ideal and suggesting they just upload the new different version as a separate file. Perhaps that's what they wil do. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:40, 17 June 2026 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Graeme. Would you mind taking a look at File:947 station logo.jpg? File:Malcolmxdvdset.jpg
[edit]Hi Graeme.
Could you take a look at File:Malcolmxdvdset.jpg? This is another overwritten file that has been also tagged with a rename request. The older overwritten version is most certainly non-free, but the newer version might be {{PD-simple}}. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:17, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
- @Marchjuly: I have split the history, and @EnDeeDoubleYou: has been quick off the mark to use the renamed poster image. Unfree version is now unused. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:45, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for taking a look at this Graeme. -- Marchjuly (talk) 11:40, 5 July 2026 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Category:Indacenes indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. Articles for Creation backlog drive
[edit]
Hello Graeme Bartlett:
WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in August!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than a month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 August 2026 through 31 August 2026.
You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 5000 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:37, 19 July 2026 (UTC)

Prod?
[edit]I'm confused: Who challenged it, where? The prod duration was met, when you removed the tag, and I don't see any indication that anyone ever objected (unless you were confusingly saying that *you* object, in which case, why?). The article clearly won't survive AfD if I have to bring it there.⇒SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 15:36, 4 August 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Swatjester: : user:Plasma Gun Nut challenged the prod on the WP:REFUND page. This is the normal place to challenge a prodded page that was deleted. As an admin I acted on behalf of Plasma Gum Nut in removing the tags. This user claims to have additional references. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:35, 4 August 2026 (UTC)
- Annoyingly, I realized the issue after posting this -- the page history tab isn't showing that it was ever deleted, so from my perspective, it appears that the prod was just removed from an existing article, rather than there having been an actual deletion and subsequent Refund request. I wonder if there's a bug here actually, because I also never saw a notification or Watchlist update from Asukite's deletion either, nor your undeletion. So basically, there's nothing that would have prompted me to look into the deletion log to see that the page had in fact been deleted, because by all other appearances, it hadn't. That seems like a weird UI bug. ⇒SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 22:16, 4 August 2026 (UTC)
- Is the page on your watchlist? Deletes should appear on your watchlist. - It is, but Asukite's deletion never showed up for me (which is the part I'm wondering if there's a bug there). Your undelete eventually did, but because the Watchlist bundles deletions into a single dropdown (that starts collapsed), it was buried between a ton of RevDels for pages like AN/I, AIV, etc. so I didn't catch it at the time, and the first indication I had was the template being removed.⇒SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 02:48, 5 August 2026 (UTC)

File:This Morning Studio 8.jpg
[edit]Hi Graeme. Could you take a look at File:This Morning Studio 8.jpg? It was originally uploaded in 2013, overwritten in 2015, then reverted back earlier today. No new information was provided for the file when it was overwritten; so, I've got no idea as to its provenance. The overwriter last edited at the end of last month; so, maybe they're still around. The file probably should be moved to Commons, but it's not currently being used anywhere; so, maybe it's no longer needed. - Marchjuly (talk) 08:12, 6 August 2026 (UTC)
- I could totally delete user:GMc's 2015 upload due to lack of information./.licencing. If the images are unused, I don't think they are worth a lot of effort! FFD is a possible process. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 08:59, 6 August 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for taking a look at this Graeme. I'll post something about the file on the overwriter's user talk page to ask for clarification. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:05, 12 August 2026 (UTC)
File:Maddock Films logo.jpeg
[edit]Hi Graeme. Could you take a look at File:Maddock Films logo.jpeg? It's another overwritten file, but this one might be easier to sort out. The new version seems to be too simple to be eligible for copyright protection in the US even if still protected in India. The overwritten older version also might be too simple under US copyright law even though the "A" is a bit more stylized. If the older version is too complex for {{PD-ineligible-USonly}}, it probably needs to be deleted per WP:F5 since its non-free use in Maddock Films will be really hard to justify per WP:NFC#cite_note-4. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:12, 12 August 2026 (UTC)

Review of the discussion
[edit]Hi there, I got here from XU haloboration. I have made more objective revisions and statements in accordance with the relevant policies. Could you please review and remove the warning notice on this page? Thank you! Ryan X. Lincoln (talk) 01:13, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
