I bought some Prismacolor sketching pencils today as well as a kneaded eraser, pencil sharpener, and sketchbook. I saw a character I really want to draw. I haven't had the itch to draw in literally YEARS! I'm so scared it'll turn out awful but if it does, I can try again. And again. And again. Forty pages worth of agains. And when those forty pages are full, I can buy another sketchbook and fill those pages too. Over and over and over. And in time, I'll improve. It's unrealistic for me to expect to be the best, but I can be good. And I can create. I just need to stick with it and keep trying.
http://doodlealley.com/2012/10/10/be-friends-with-failure/ (This one REALLY struck a chord with me. I've had a terrible habit of getting frustrated with anything less than perfection and beat myself up for it. I am trying to change my outlook and improve my experience, attitude, and skill set.)
Cleaning out the friends list. If you get cut and feel it's a mistake (and wish to stay), please PM me. We might be able to make that happen.
Mostly, I'm cutting journals that don't update anymore or that have unfriended me. Sorry, but I only do the mutual friendship thing. You don't get to read my locked entries if we aren't friends or you aren't updating.
I also realize I need to be more selective about who I call a friend. Too often I bend over backwards for people to help them, or be there for them, or whatever and it is rarely appreciated. So I'm done doing that unless we are actually pretty good and fairly close friends. Nothing personal, I'm just tired of putting out all that energy and getting very little back. It's kind of draining.
"File-sharers, beware: By July 12, major US Internet service providers (ISPs) will voluntarily begin serving as copyright police for the entertainment industry, according to Cary Sherman, chief executive of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The so-called “six-strikes” plan is said to be one of the most effective anti-piracy efforts ever established in the US."
The article goes on to give details. After six notices, internet providers will decide to throttle a person's internet speed, or cut it off altogether. I don't know if they will crack down on torrents only, or if it is up to the internet provider. I get the sense it is up to the internet provider. So some people could get away with downloading non torrents, while others might get their internet service cut off. I urge you to click it and read, as we all know people who download.
No more downloading eps of your favorite shows for vidding, gifs, or fanfiction art. No more downloading screencaps possibly. I'm so sorry my friends. I don't even know if BT Guard will work to protect you, but I would google it if I were you. It is a professional service that supposedly can protect you from the invasive eyes of your internet provider.
Just, my friends, please make each other aware. Please be aware of the date JULY 12TH. Mark your calendar and double check with your internet provider by then. If you start receiving notices of downloaded activity, this is why. And your internet service could be throttled or cut off.
im selling Tazu the thylacine. $650 firm. barely ever worn, still in pristine, new condition. includes head, hands/full length arms, striped tail and feet (feet are half made, but all materials to finish are included. theyve been foamed and partially furred)

hey there. if you can no longer see locked entries, dont panic.
there are a few reasons ive removed a few folks. if someone never comments, i cant be sure theyre reading and im not comfortable having lurkers. sometimes people change a LOT over the years and then we no longer have anything in common. perhaps we just dont communicate at all anymore. whatever the reason, please dont be offended. its just not working out.
if you feel youve been removed by mistake, please PM me.
its officially Saturday. that means Psyko and i are going to Rocky Horror tonight!!!!
(yes, i know what day it is. to me, this date 9 years ago was the start of the 'war on terror' which in reality was the day our freedoms started vanishing all for the sake of "security". its also the day that bred all this mistrust, hatred and intolerance against Muslims and anyone with brown skin. the point of terrorism is to terrorize. to breed fear. look at how people are reacting to the building of mosques and Muslim community centers. look at how people are reacting to anyone who is a Muslim. stabbings, shootings, burning the Quaran? i see hate and fear. maybe the terrorists have accomplished their goal, after all.)
All good. :) I don't mind adding you if you'll add me. But be warned, there may be a fair bit of complaining in my journal lately. Due to me dislocating my knee pretty severely yesterday. D:
