I don't normally do one of these, but it's been a pretty good year overall and I'd like to celebrate. ^_^ (And, unlike previous years, I'm not signed up for any fic exchanges.)

So here it is:



Christmas Ficlet Request Post!

Leave a comment with what you'd like, at the very least a fandom, at most a fandom/character/pairing/short prompt/simple dnws. Add your AO3 username if you'd also like it gifted there. Please leave multiple options!

I'll write you at least a drabble and post it some time around the 24th of December.

Theoretically, I am open to any fandom I've ever written before, as well as anything set in the realms of my original stuff (the latter won't go on AO3, however).

Theoretically I'm also open to anything I've talked about having consumed and enjoyed recently even if I haven't created fanwork for it yet.

But here is a shortlist to choose from, if you would prefer:
Fire Emblem: Fates, Fire Emblem: Three Houses (Blue Lions Route ONLY), Fire Emblem: Awakening, Fire Emblem Warriors, Gundam SEED/Destiny/Astray, Kiddy Grade/Girl-and, Speed Racer (any), Saint Seiya, Macross Frontier.

You do not have to be on my f-list or be a DW user to make a request.

Somewhere over the last couple months while I've been trying to read/watch my own backlog instead of borrowing a lot from the library, my entire queue/list got dumped out of their system. It only had about thirty things on it, but I'm still kind of bummed. Mostly movies, which I maaaay have a list of elsewhere, that people had recommended I watch, and a few non-fiction books I wanted to get to eventually that I may be able to remember. Oh well-- there's always been a notice up that those lists may not be retained, so I guess not logging in and prodding them enough can cause them to vanish. I guess I won't worry too much and just start up another if it looks like I'll be library-ing more in the future. (But for now, backlog hell anyway, lol.)

Meanwhile, I was linked to 100fandoms and since AO3 claims I've written for over 100 fandoms already, this should be manageable~ I wonder if it could be done with just Gundam stuff.

For reasons I'll explain at some point~~ I'm working on a list of ~20-25 of my own quintessential m/m pairings from over the years. The ones that really grabbed me and/or I wrote a lot of and/or I just really adore...

I need some help with it, because I've been working on this list in fits and starts during the very few short breaks I've gotten at work this week (seriously, this week...) and am probably missing some big blinking neon pairings.

Anyway, the list so far and please, point out who I'm missing~

It's that time again! I will freely admit that I've not had much luck with last year's, but they're high on the priority list and will get done sooner than later. (And it's still 2015...)

(It has been pointed out that 'white elephant' isn't quiiiite the term I should be using, but at this point it's barely 'holiday' either... Whoops? Let's just roll with it, okie?)


Kalloway's White Elephant/Grab Bag Holiday Fic Thignerwhatsiter! Year Four!


Basically, as much as I want to accept prompts and write something for everyone for the end-of-the-year holidays, I know my own limits and that I have far too much still simmering to take on anything new. However...

As a sort of twist, I want to offer up what I've come to think of as 'white elephants'. Prompts that have been in my notebook for a very long time (or not), though there's nothing really keeping me from writing them.

Because it would take me from now til the end of the year to properly list everything I need to write/finish, I'm going to offer two options:

• Pick-a-number. You pick a number between 1 and... arbitrarily, 1000. (That should cover all the random bingo cards I have, and random prompt lists~) I'll tell you the fandom and if its a fandom you absolutely have no interest in, you can pick again.

• Pick-a-fandom. You pick a fandom and I'll start on a random page and skim down til I find the first prompt with that fandom. If there's a character or pairing you really don't want to read, let me know.

I reserve the right to ask for a re-pick if you happen upon something I just can't tackle for reasons of a) not wanting to start a huge multi-chapter thing or b) it's actually already finished or c) someone's already picked it~

Finished fics will generally be 200-500 words, though the sky is the upper-limit~ Plans are for these to appear in early/mid 2016~

Feel free to grab an elephant in the comments or just ask any questions. ^^;; Anonymous picks are completely okay as long as you 'sign' the comment in some way for me to identify you in the future.

Ask for whatever you'd like - multiple options are fine. You're not going to put me out or anything, these are all things I already intend to write! You're just herding me along a bit~ *grins*

Since I've seen people mentioning it already-- yep, going to do Camp NaNo in April. Yep, going to be a rebel.

I have ~three things planned:

• an 'OVA' for Valentine-from-Iscariot, because he's interesting and has grown amusing backstory.
• 0tp ficlets and whatnot
• all of the oldest plotbunnies/challenges that have been lingering.

I'm not sure if I can clear out the whole of 2003, but it'd be nice. A lot of the premise!bunnies are good... ideas but who knows how they'll follow through. If nothing else, there might be a lot of crackfic and whatnot being written and posted. ^^;;

(Maybe July's Camp NaNo will be a rousing romp through the lingering projects of 2004~ *facepalms*)
