Hello! I'm new here! Here's some stuff about me:
Kaylee, she/her, early 20s. I came to Dreamwidth from Pillowfort, and I came to Pillowfort from Tumblr, so...however, since Pillowfort's demise is imminent, this seems like the next best place to be. I can still be found on Tumblr under the same username.
My interests include: crochet, dragons, Pokémon, Warframe, rock music (and music in general); I also have a peripheral interest in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and I'm currently learning Japanese.
Interaction is welcome, since I'm new! Any pointers would be appreciated. I have never used Dreamwidth before, so I'll probably make mistakes as I learn how the site works, and I might be a little slow to respond to activity at first. If you recognize me from Pillowfort or Tumblr, feel free to (try and) say hi!
Testing the beta Create Entries page
Oct. 22nd, 2026 07:38 pmSince I saw a post here talking about how the post creation and inbox pages will be updated (to the forms currently in beta) soon, I thought I'd try testing the beta create page out! If you're reading this, then you probably know how it went. It looks pretty nifty, although it took me a minute to figure out where everything was. It does look cleaner and more readable than the "old" interface, and being able to enable and disable specific features looks pretty cool too. Also, my first time inserting a link! Hopefully it works. I tried it in the preview window and it worked fine, but do let me know if it doesn't.
How am I feeling now?
Oct. 21st, 2026 08:44 pmI've now been on Dreamwidth for almost a full 24 hours, and I think I'm getting used to it. I managed to get some things done today, and I think I'll do a couple more things before going to bed. I'm still sad about Pillowfort's situation, but I am feeling better.
Status update
Oct. 21st, 2026 11:13 amI woke up to my alarm and I decided to turn it off and sleep for another four hours. Now it's almost lunchtime, I'm still in my pajamas, and I need to get homework done. I was going to go grocery shopping today too, but that might be on hold.
Dreamwidth seems to be a little slow today. I'll probably be adding more people and communities as I can. I'm not sure how to make myself more visible to people who might want to follow me.

Can't stop crying
Oct. 21st, 2026 12:14 amThis feels so horrible. I know Pillowfort is going to stay up for a little while longer, but this hurts so bad. The site was perfect, and it was really feeling like a safe place. I'm not ready to lose everything I had there. I should be sleeping but I can't right now.
