I am Lacey, and i've been on LiveJournal since late 2003, though only really active since September, 2004. This is my online home, and I treat it as such. Because of that, I am very vigilant about who I choose to allow into my life here. If you would like to add me, please feel free! Once you do, please leave a comment here to let me know you have. Partially related to this is that every day is Defriending Amnesty Day here. I believe in no-drama defriendings. If you want to do so, go ahead.
As I said, this LiveJournal is my online home, and because of that, the writings contained herein are of unquantifiable importance to me. Anyone wanting to friend me should know that I am very opinionated, and while I am mindful of the beliefs of my readers, I don't censor myself. Period. I am opinionated, I have a temper, and I am profane.
All that said, I am also probably one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. My friends are immeasurably important to me, and I will try to do anything I can to help one in need. I have my rough edges, but I try as best I can to be a good person. Some days I succeed, some days I don't. If I'm doing it right, the former outnumber the latter.
I maintain four six! LJ communities:
jhs_ky_alumni- A community for Alumni of Jeffersontown High School in Louisville, KY to congregate, uofl_cardinals- A place for Alumni, Students, or fans of the University of Louisville to meet, womenofatlanta- A community for Designing Women fans, support_icons- A community for LiveJournal Support Icons. topdesign_tv- A community for fans of Bravo TV's series Top Design, and curvybeautiful- A community for loving your body as-is, and not for what you want it to be.
If you have any questions, or any problems, please leave a comment in my latest post so we can get it sorted out.
I am a proud volunteer with the LiveJournal Support team. If you need help, please visit the Support Page, in addition to the LiveJournal FAQ. I am a true believer in LiveJournal. To me, LiveJournal is something bordering on magic, and I am proud to know many of the people who keep it that way.
"And the afternoon, the evening, sleeps so peacefully! Smoothed by long fingers, Asleep...tired...or it malingers, Stretched on the floor, here beside you and me. Should I, after tea and cakes and ices, Have the strength to force the moment to its crisis? But though I have wept and fasted, wept and prayed, Though I have seen my head [grown slightly bald] brought in upon a platter, I am no prophet--and here's no great matter; I have seen the moment of my greatness flicker, And I have seen the eternal Footman hold my coat, and snicker, And in short, I was afraid." - T. S. Eliot, The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock
"In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer." -Albert Camus
