Am I hallucinating, or is that a sense of equilibrium I feel?
I took my freebie on the paper. As in, there are seven papers to be written for this class but only six grades get taken. Considering I'm not worried that I'm going to bomb any of the future papers, and I've turned in three so far, I figured it was a good time to just say 'fuck it' and get some sleep.
Which proved to be a fantastic choice, because I actually got up for breakfast and was rewarded with PANCAKES. :D
It's absurd how happy pancakes can make me. They were perfect; not burned, thick, fluffy, with hot syrup... mmmmm. Best Monday morning ever. Srsly.
Then it was movie day in Fiction Discussion class, so we're watching The Great Gatsby-- with Sam Waterston. :D I'm so easily distracted by the fact that he becomes Jack McCoy. I never got that book. The movie doesn't help. It's so fucking retarded. Maybe it's me not understanding rich white people sleeping around and drinking all day. Perhaps reading it now will incite some wisdom. *shrug*
There was a downside to today; I wasn't prepared in the least for my vocab quiz in French, which is strange because I write just about everything down and had no notes on that... but the cool thing is I'm just going to re-take it at office hours on Thursday. So that's that.
Then presentation/movie day in Theatre, and no more of those classes for the rest of this week because Joy is going to a conference. Fucking YES, one class on my birthday! :D
Speaking of, countdown updates: 4/12 on birthday/Colorado. AND I HAVE A RIDE TO THE AIRPORT. Thank you, Marcus. Thank you.
Then I got the package my mom sent me. For my birthday. :D A beanie, cool shirt (+ long sleeved under shirt), a bath towel thingy (suffice to say I wanted one at Xmas but she wouldn't get it) and a card and monies. Thanks mooom. *smile* OH and this nifty small digital camera thingy that might possibly work as a web cam. Right now though it seems to be a bit crap, but it's the thought that counts. Who knows, I might finagle it into submission.
And a three hour nap followed it.
Castle. CASTLE. God, I love this show. Nathan Fillion makes EVERYTHING better.
Aaaaand now I've got a tissue stuffed up my nose (as I have spent the better part of the last two weeks) because I'm down to my last two Benadryl and have YET to go to the store. I also can't blow my nose that much one Steph goes to sleep because it's ridiculously loud. Gragh. Time to turn out the lights, grab my MAA reading and The Tempest and settle down with them.
I've resigned myself to doing my hair on Wednesday. That way it will possibly actually look presentable on Friday. Wherein I will simply want to go to dinner and a movie. That's it, truly and simply.
ETA: Fifteen minutes until two? Hell yes I am watching Voyager. Then I'm getting up for breakfast and copying Shakespeare's sonnets onto some paper that's actually, y'know, not backbreakingly HEAVY or HUGE like the ANTHOLOGY I have.
