OMFG CASTLE AND DOLLHOUSE GOT RENEWED, BEST FRIDAY EVAR

Riding around with the new Fall Out Boy CD is even better than just listening to it while on the computer. I forgot how much I missed driving with the music blasting. Driving itself can be a bit of a chore, but not when you're rocking out with you cock out.*

So, today I slept until noonish. Woke up, read TIME magazine for a while, had some cereal, watched TV/conversed with Mom, fooled around online and found out that I got an A in Fiction. Match that with the A I got in Theatre and the pretty-assured A I got in French and that assures me my 3.6 GPA, BITCHES. And, if I managed to pull an A out of my ass for Brit Lit, that could be bumped up to a 3.8. I'm feelin' pretty damned good right about now.

Next thing I know it's time to watch the House finale. I can't even... I don't much have words to express what I feel about it, other than I cannot wait for fall. I need the next storyline/new season/episode LIKE NOW.

No wonder FOB's 20 Dollar Nose Bleed sounds like P!@TD: Brandon Urie1 is frickin' in the song! Thank you, Songza, for informing me.

Also concluding tonight was Castle. Let me just say how much I love this show. A LOT. It's light and funny and still really good mystery, methinks. I've watched quite a lot of crime drama in my life, from Murder, She Wrote to CSI to Pushing Daisies, and I still don't usually figure it out or even care to think ahead in the plot to want to, because I'm enjoying the episode so much. Also, for anyone who has actually read Kids of Eden, Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic are pretty much Gideon and Cleo, to those of you who know what that actually means/signifies.

I decided against going to school today, mostly because I'm lazy, and partially because I'm going to want to go more than once so I'll just wait until Thursday. Why so long, you ask? Well, I promised my layout services to my aunt Carolyn for tomorrow and the next day, so I'll be off doing that in the early afternoon of the next two days.

Also applied to be Martha Jones in brb_gallifrey  today, and watched Gridlock and Daleks In Manhattan to get myself in my Jonesy mood. :D I forgot how much I loved Martha and hated the way Ten was acting/some of the season 3 plots. Oh, it's so nice to be back on the home computer that's got enough memory to hold all my DW episodes. So nice.

Something else that's nice: THE ROCKETS BEING TIED UP WITH THE LAKERS, THAT'S FUCKING WHAT

Another something else that's nice: INFINITE REGRESS COMING ON TONIGHT. Unfortunately, no O'Halloran having internets means no play-by-play of my squee. Sorry. D:

Anyway, I'm off to make myself some cookies and cream ice cream (since I didn't eat all too much today) and watch me some Seven of Nine on Voyager at 2am. (Yes, I'm still sore about that, but I don't know what to do about it other than complain. Deal.)

*That's a technical term.
1 - Lead singer of P!@TD2
2 - I have learned your magics, ukrazy! Ha HA!

Got up at ungodly early 7:30am to take my Fiction final. I really wish it had been later, my sentences were hopefully coherent and deep enough for an A. I'd have to had Fed that up so seriously to not get an A in that class. So that's done.

Came back, got breakfast, stomach was hurting so I decided to sleep it off a bit. Crashed until roughly noon, even though I got 7+ hours last night, I was out well before midnight. Halfheartedly got up, studied French some, ignored MAA (because the thought of it very seriously makes me want to just start crying) and then left to gather with my classmates at 3:30 for a review.

Ha da pretty good one with Angelique for roughly an hour, then grabbed some Chick-Fil-A with classmates prior to the exam. I did... okay. Hopefully well enough to keep my A, but negation and depuis v. pendant can go right to hell and die in a fire. To get a B, I basically had to show up, so that's a check. If the math is right, I only had to pass to get an A. I'd really love to do well on the final, though, considering I didn't do so hot on my second essay/composition/Redacion thing. I'm seriously going to miss Angelique; she's not even teaching here next semester. *pout*

Got back from the test at about 7:30, too late to start watching this EPIC EPISODE OF HOUSE THAT THE ENTIRE HUDDY COMMUNITY HAS BEEN FLAILING OVER SINCE LAST WEEK'S PROMO, plus Steph was already watching Dancing With the Stars. Which is admittedly good, but cor, I will not miss having to share my television during the summer.

Couldn't seem to find it in me to bring myself to study, so I watched Castle after Dancing With The Stars. OH YES. Do not want an old flame coming into Beckett's life! Want Castle in Beckett's life! AND SHE'S SUCH A FANGIRL EEEE I love it. LOOOOVE it. :D

Dear TV Gods,

Please to not be canceling Dollhouse or Castle. JUST GIVE ME 13 MOAR EPISODES PLZ PLZ PLZ

Your rabid fangirl,
Me

Have an ungodly early 7:30am AGAIN tomorrow for Theatre, which won't take me long to study for tonight. AFTER HOUSE. Which I have downloaded now. (And then I am going to have to start thinking about MAA. This is when crying will commence.)

ROCKETS ARE UP 8 ON THE LAKERS DO WORK BOYS DO WORK DO ITTTTTTTTTT

So, I thought I was going to just pull an all nighter and crash tonight like, now and get up in the morning.

I go for a shower around 7:00, get in bed about 7:30 and think to myself what a wonderful world "Sweet, an hour of quick sleep before I get up for breakfast and study some more for French or work on my essay."

Little did I know my body was staging a coup and that the Coke buzz was wearing off. I collapse for FOUR AND A HALF HOURS. Now, if you'll kindly aid my trigonometrically-retarded brain for a moment, we can do the math together and calculate that I did not wake up until 12:15. PM.

My French test started at 11:30.

Of course I freak the fuck out and sprint over there on my bike and all but burst in the door breathing heavily and spewing excuses to which Angelique (this is why I love this woman, she's so beyond cool) responds, "Go take care of yourself. We can make this up sometime next week, shoo."

So I sprinted back here, set up shop in the kitchenette again (where I had done my procrastinating/studying last night for several hours while random people passed and I became a fixture in the hall) and pounded out a decent-ish essay even in time to get my butt over to Brit Lit -almost- on time. Then I gave my two-cents response, was off the hook for the reading I didn't do, and scooted over to MAA. Turned in my last essay for that class ~~ HALLELUJAH ~~ and got the quiz question correct. Then we got to go outside for lecture/discussion, and had good tiems. So, the day wasn't all terrible, other than I had to go eat dinner by myself because no one was available to go with me and I still have that test hanging over my head (but on the upside I get more time to study for it, so there's that).

Castle makes everything better. Srsly, Stana Katic is working her way up the ranks into that level of obsession that makes me just plain embarassing to be around. Giggling and re-watching scenes four times to watch her smile (because for Beckett it's so out of character!) / OMFG THAT DRESS / she's got such a Batman-complex, and I love it. Nathan Fillion makes my soul happy. Especially in lieu of no new SVU again, thanks NBC. *growl*

Alright. The only thing I have to worry about now is my French oral exam. Which can take up all the space for worrying because AHHHH I DON'T THINK I CAN DO THIS AHHHH.

*whistles Here Comes The Sun*

Sometime this morning I closed my Theatre book, turned off my light, put O'Halloran on my desk and went to sleep. I remember nothing. Thankfully, I woke up in time to pound out some marginally coherent bullshit around 7:30 this morning and enjoy a little bit more sleep before going to breakfast.

From there my back to back to back day moved on fairly smoothly, from watching Robert Redford get shot in The Great Gatsby, to a fairly difficult quiz I did well on/culture videos en francais, then MOAR MOVIE TIEMS in Theatre, and a presentation is scheduled for Wednesday. Then there was a sort of impromptu chillaxin' party in Angelique's office at like, 1:35pm, and though I did flake on lunch with Meg and Britt, that conversation time was great.

Cruised over to the post office, got three wonderful birthday wishes from Amalie, my cousin Brittany and German Face, aka Bethany. Read them over a leisurely lunch of pizza and perused The Great Gatsby. Had an almost-but-not-quite-epic!FAIL moment on my bike, came around the corner too hard and forgot there was a big missing triangle chunk of sidewalk around that fucking tree... so yeah, I totally fell out but there were about four witnesses and I was fine, the bike was fine, so. There was that.

Got smart and copied the pages out of my Brit Lit Norton Anthology that I need and decided the day was too fucking beautiful out to waste, so I packed a bag and went down to the lake behind Miller. They've got stone benches dotting the edge behind Herget and Miller and I took up residence for at the very least, an hour, probably more like two, verging on two and a half if I got out there when I think I did. Hovered on the verge of nap a couple times, but it being breezy and me in the shade lent to chilliness which aided being awake. I don't think I've had an afternoon that relaxing or productive in a while.

EXCEPT FOR THIS CRAZY RANDOM HAPPENSTANCE: There's geese all around-- lake, q.e.d., duh. Anyway, I glance up at this flapping sound and two fucking large geese nearly take my head off and come in for awkward landings on the grass behind me. One is chasing the other and makes a semi-circle arc away from me until they're back in the lake. But the follower won't give up the pursued and the latter is trying so hard to get away from the former that when they're swimming in the lake apparently webbed feet just aren't enough. They're like, paddling with their fucking WINGS and then I have to wave them off from coming near me again. It was completely messed up funny and retarded all at once.

Then dinner with Meg, Erica + boyfriend and crazy NJ Erica that I haven't seen all semester. And for good reason. Meg said she had a test tomorrow and they said, "Well, you can study after nine when we get back from the mall." And Meg went along with it. *shrug* Her choice. I don't want to flake on her tomorrow about Watchmen, mostly because I REALLY WANNA FUCKING SEE THAT MOVIE ALREADY but I don't know if I'll actually be ready to. I mean, I got work to do and crap. Le sigh.

CASTLE. It just gets better every week. OMG AT THE END JAW DROPPING LOVE. Stana Katic is trying her damndest to get on my list of women I'm ashamed to admit I will geekily fangirlcrush on to an obsessive degree, and that move at the end definitely put a rocket under her stats. As always, can't wait for next week. It's a feeling you like to feel about your shows. :D

Frankly I'm surprised I'm as awake as I am right now, considering I haven't had much sleep.

Anyway, need to read some things, and the longer I'm up the stronger the urge is to snack. I'm trying to drink water and make it 'til breakfast. It's hard when you're used to eating all the time. *pout*

Oh, and being on one's period probably doesn't help.

Consciously avoiding thinking about Spring Break right now. Will worry about it tomorrow. Yeah. Tomorrow. Four days. (Woo?)

ETA:  OMG I UNDERSTAND BIOLOGICAL NECESSITY BUT DOES IT HAVE TO RUIN EVERY PIECE OF CLOTHING FOR THE LOWER HALF OF MY BODY THAT I OWN? SEROIUSLY?

I took my freebie on the paper. As in, there are seven papers to be written for this class but only six grades get taken. Considering I'm not worried that I'm going to bomb any of the future papers, and I've turned in three so far, I figured it was a good time to just say 'fuck it' and get some sleep.

Which proved to be a fantastic choice, because I actually got up for breakfast and was rewarded with PANCAKES. :D

It's absurd how happy pancakes can make me. They were perfect; not burned, thick, fluffy, with hot syrup... mmmmm. Best Monday morning ever. Srsly.

Then it was movie day in Fiction Discussion class, so we're watching The Great Gatsby-- with Sam Waterston. :D I'm so easily distracted by the fact that he becomes Jack McCoy. I never got that book. The movie doesn't help. It's so fucking retarded. Maybe it's me not understanding rich white people sleeping around and drinking all day. Perhaps reading it now will incite some wisdom. *shrug*

There was a downside to today; I wasn't prepared in the least for my vocab quiz in French, which is strange because I write just about everything down and had no notes on that... but the cool thing is I'm just going to re-take it at office hours on Thursday. So that's that.

Then presentation/movie day in Theatre, and no more of those classes for the rest of this week because Joy is going to a conference. Fucking YES, one class on my birthday! :D

Speaking of, countdown updates: 4/12 on birthday/Colorado. AND I HAVE A RIDE TO THE AIRPORT. Thank you, Marcus. Thank you.

Then I got the package my mom sent me. For my birthday. :D A beanie, cool shirt (+ long sleeved under shirt), a bath towel thingy (suffice to say I wanted one at Xmas but she wouldn't get it) and a card and monies. Thanks mooom. *smile* OH and this nifty small digital camera thingy that might possibly work as a web cam. Right now though it seems to be a bit crap, but it's the thought that counts. Who knows, I might finagle it into submission.

And a three hour nap followed it.

Castle. CASTLE. God, I love this show. Nathan Fillion makes EVERYTHING better.

Aaaaand now I've got a tissue stuffed up my nose (as I have spent the better part of the last two weeks) because I'm down to my last two Benadryl and have YET to go to the store. I also can't blow my nose that much one Steph goes to sleep because it's ridiculously loud. Gragh. Time to turn out the lights, grab my MAA reading and The Tempest and settle down with them.

I've resigned myself to doing my hair on Wednesday. That way it will possibly actually look presentable on Friday. Wherein I will simply want to go to dinner and a movie. That's it, truly and simply.

ETA: Fifteen minutes until two? Hell yes I am watching Voyager. Then I'm getting up for breakfast and copying Shakespeare's sonnets onto some paper that's actually, y'know, not backbreakingly HEAVY or HUGE like the ANTHOLOGY I have.

WHEN YOU SEE MY FACE HOPE IT GIVES YOU HELL HOPE IT GIVES YOU HELL
WHEN YOU WALK MY WAY HOPE IT GIVES YOU HELL HOPE IT GIVES YOU HELL
IF YOU FIND A MAN THAT'S WORTH A DAMN AND TREATS YOU WELL
THEN HE'S A FOOL IT'S JUST AS WELL HOPE IT GIVES YOU HELL

WHEN YOU SEE MY FACE HOPE IT GIVES YOU HELL HOPE IT GIVES YOU HELL
WHEN YOU WALK MY WAY HOPE IT GIVES YOU HELL HOPE IT GIVES YOU HELL
WHEN YOU HEAR THIS SONG AND SING ALONG WELL YOU'LL NEVER TELL
AND YOU'RE THE FOOL I'M JUST AS WELL HOPE IT GIVES YOU HELL

CAAAAAAAAAAASSTLEEEEEEEEEEEE. I LOVE ITTTTTTTTTT. And as a result I love this song. (Although I would because I love AAR. Hmm. Need their new album.) They got me hooked with this song in the previews. AND IT IS SO APPROPRIATE. GOD. I DON'T EVEN WANT FIC. I WANT RESOLUTION ON SCREEN DAMN IT. THEY'RE SO PERFECT. GAHHHHHHHHHHHH. I keep seeing people in my roles. As in, I think Amalie could very easily play the role Stana Katic is as Kate Beckett. They sort of look alike, and then Amalie's pretty friggin' fantastic, so all the little looks. Oh yes. And then there's Nathan Fillion being amazing. Hilarious. Great dad. WAANT.

GHOSTBUSTERS. II. YESSSSSSSSSS. SIGOURNEY WEAVER. I LOVE YOU SO. MOSTLY I LOVE REUNION SCHTUFF. :D Liz, I really and truly just... *hangs head* It's my fault. I should just assume that nothing is sacred. Next opportunity I get, cherryfeather, you're getting an education in ghosts, Slimer, jumpsuits, Sigourney Weaver and

Even though I took a four hour nap today and have quite a bit of work to do to make up for it. *sigh*

There are a few things that can give me chills, and even fewer that qualify for patriotic reasons. One of them is Bill Pullman's speech in Independence Day. The other is watching The Statue of Liberty walk through downtown New York to "Higher and Higher" and dropping the lighted torch through the museum ceiling in Ghostbusters II.

God bless America.

ABC has finally got it's hooks in me.

Dancing With The Stars. I AM UNASHAMEDLY IN IT FOR THE PRETTY.

Castle. CAAAASTTLEEEEEEEE. IF YOU USE OK GO AND ALL AMERICAN REJECTS IN YOUR COMMERCIALS, YOU ARE GOING TO GET ME HOOKED.

I watched The Bachelor, I'll probably watch The Bachelorette because Jillian is so cute.

Private Practice.

Pushing Daisies WHYYYYYYY CHRYSLERRRR

Now Scrubs.

Desperate Housewives now and again.
