So, yeah, going to be hella upset come the new era of Who. I like Matt Smith's face. I do. His plain Jane companion will probably grow on me. I'm sure I'll like it well enough. But I will miss Tennant. I hope my dad'll like Matt so we can watch together.
FINALLY SOME VOYAGER. Didn't think to liveblog until it was almost over, sorry you don't get to enjoy my usual fangirly flails and CAPSLOCKK ABOUT HOW FUCKING CUTE SEVEN OF NINE CAN BE WHEN SHE'S AROUND KIDS OMG and how I fell in love with this show all over again but for the banter and Kate/Kathy. Mmmmmmmmmm.
Blink Of An Eye; Seven in Astrometrics, B'Elanna in Engineering and Kathy on the Bridge means me = :D
See my tweets for joy.
*sigh* I needed that. Really and truly. Even though I totally finally caved and bought two seasons of Voyager (1 and 2) off of Border's.com with my coupons recently. THEY SHOULD BE COMING IN SOON OMG YAY. ;D
Also, it's November.
That means NaNoWriMo.
GOD THAT CAME UP QUICK.
Um, so, yeah, I haven't started yet?
Or, well, I have. Officially have 783 words at the mo. Thanks to Write Or Die. Without it, I'd have 95. *cringe*
GOD I AM SO BEHIIIIIIIIND. But I have really got to get to sleep because I skipped French and Shakes on Monday again god I am such a bad student. In my defense I was having another insomnia night and I had a Bio test and my father was coming. I got to see Dad for all of five minutes but I have my winter clothes now! And just seeing him made me happy. Hopefully I'll get to spend a little time with him on Thursday when he's heading home from NOLA.
Updates on life: I'm in a better place right now but that's probably because school isn't being such a huge bitch currently. I'm sure it'll realize it's being too easy on me soon enough and go back to trying to make me cry.
The game was kinda boring, and it was absurdly hot (I mean I am sticky right now and it's mostly disgusting) but Lacy and Megan met each other and I had good food today and I did get to cheer and being in Tiger Stadium always rocks, so there's that. We did win against ULL, it just wasn't as much of a blowout as we would have liked/expected.
Told Lacy about some of the stuff I've been posting about, and that felt pretty good. Don't feel like crying right now (which is good because I don't really have time for another breakdown), although a few days off from school would be absolutely glorious right about now. Unfortunately, I've got to get through another two weeks, three tests, a paper, another play in Shakespeare and two on-calls before I get no classes for two days. *headdesk* I don't think I can make it.
Okay. I'm gonna go shower and then start studying for my tests. Slash writing my review paper for extra credit in Shakespeare. Slash reworking my intro paragraph for my minor character analysis. Slash BIOLOGY OMFG FML. Slash Oh, damn, I've got grammar too. Shit. Fuck. Expletive.
Meanwhile, I'm downloading Death at a Funeral for my lolz, eagerly anticipating premiere week of my primetime dramas, and praying to all sorts of deities that someone will upload red-carpet arrivals and the Emmys for me tomorrow because I HAVE SO MUCH TO DO I CANNOT AFFORD TO WATCH FOR HOURS ON END.
1) Trying to get all of the room inspections out of the way with Amanda in the morning. Although this is sort of ambitious on our parts. 2) Working out? 3) Studying. Studying, and more studying. (!!!) 4) FANGIRLING LIKE A CRAZY CRAZY FANGIRL THAT IS A LITTLE MORE THAN SLIGHTLY OBSESSED AND POSSIBLY A LITTLE BIT IN LOVE WITH WAY TOO MANY BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE THAT WILL NEVER KNOW I EXIST
I'll Follow You Into The Dark never fails to make me happy. One because I love the song and two because now it brings back good memories from this summer singing it with Julie and Zach's sister (whose name I can never remember! gah) and Abby in Zach's living room while a bunch of us were just hanging out and the musicians in the group were jamming.
I'm in a good mood. It's possibly because I slept for roughly 12 hours today, played my ancient 007 James Bond game on my GameBoy Color, got to watch two episodes of SVU (JASP I KNORITE, WHAT A RARITY) and also watched the end of Cinderella Man. Which only reminds me of Daleks In Manhattan becaues of the Hooveville mentionings. I can't help it. I like Martha, okay. DON'T JUDGE ME I REALLY DO NOT LIKE THE STORY ARC OKAY I PROMISE.
Also, Reba never fails to make me happy. I love people like her. That is what most Christians should be preaching, instead of hellfire and damnation.
Working the desk from 7 to 10 tonight was kind of an explosion of all hell breaking loose, but I don't really want to hash it all out so I won't and just say it's a shift I hope doesn't repeat itself all that often this semester.
Also discovered that there is going to be an SVU marathon on Tuesday (OF ALL THE FUCKING DAYS, COME ON USA, WORK WITH ME) so I've got that to look forward to.
I keep forgetting to play Charlie though, because I remember late at night. While that was not a problem previously (as with my door closed and my Dad usually gone, I wasn't disturbing anyone), the walls are fairly thin and I'm pretty sure my residents next door would not appreciate guitar strumming at 3:33am. *makes a wish*
O'Halloran is throwing fits of slowness and tomorrow/the next day are probably going to be lengthy, so I'll cut this one off short. G'night.
I'm sharing a room (briefly) with two of my fellow RAs in the dorm next door because our Hall is being renovated and worked on currently. We'll be moving in shortly, but for now, we're using one of Herget's suites.
There are three of us in the room. We are each lying on her own bed, snuggled up under covers and in pajamas. On her own laptop. Not talking.
To each other, at least. I suspect from the odd chimes and chirps that we're either texting or IMing people, listening to the way we're clicking at our keyboards.
I just find it amusing.
Finally get the opportunity to sleep in tomorrow, yay! Also plan on going to buy a box set of something with my 40% off coupon (that I still have to print... er... yeah, that) at Borders tomorrow before it runs out. We've got a little bit of training, and I need to go do inventory and room checks in preparation for my girls showing up soonish, but other than that I think I can actually enjoy my day. Hooray!
It thundered and rained today - music to my lifeguard ears, but bane of my straight-hair's existence. I seriously borrowed a bandana from a friend and wrapped my head and wore a hoodie around for the rest of the day to prevent humidity from making my hair grow like the magical Chia-pet from Beautician Hell.
On a completely unrelated note, WHY WOULD YOU EVER MAKE ME CHOOSE, E(ntertainment)W(eekly). IT'S IMPOSSIBLE. I CAN'T DO IT. I CAN'T DO THIS EITHER. FUUUUUUUCK. IT'S TOO HARD.
ETA: I had to rely on a random number generator. I ended up going with Cote. And then John. I had it down to John and Jamie Bamber, and I decided since I don't actually watch BSG, that John won by default. (I have a feeling he wins a lot of competitions like this.)

It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
BUT I'M GOING TO FIESTA TEXAS TOMORROW AND I CAN'T SLEEP :DDD
I really should get to sleep though, since I'll be doing all the driving tomorrow.
ALSO IT WAS MY
*
FUCK TO THE YES, BITCHES.
I mean, I might end up going in since Millar just got his wisdom teeth out and is scheduled to work Sunday, and Robert is scheduled to pull an ALL-DAY on Saturday, including two bouts of vacuuming the pool, but officially, this was it, baby. And I get paid tomorrow, so everything is coming up roses for me.
Tomorrow I will be spending inordinate amounts of time on the road on I-10, and on roller coasters designed to make me simultaneously want to puke and scream.
I am purchasing far too many things online these days.
I just got through a joint session on ae.com with Courtney and Nickey wherein I got some underwear and a nice cowboy shirt (now I need some boots to go with it before I depart from Tejas again), I've bought from shirt.woot and woot and tee-fury and designbyhumans's serendipitee and I also renewed my USPS box in BR and I am rapidly depleting my once-grand checking account and I got a shitload of stuff from the Questionable Content's TopatoCo store (but I feel okay about that, I'm feeding Jeph Jacques and keeping food on his table).
Ah, well. That's what working until you have no soul is for.
In other news, my little cousins came over today and I gave them lots and lots of toys that I regrettably will never play with again. Goodbye, Tinker Toys, goodbye numerous McDonalds/Wendy's toys, goodbye kalidescopes and whistles and Hot Wheels cars and trucks and Disney figures and such. Goodbye, my previous The Little Mermaid twin-sized comforter. I will miss you all.
I had never been there, and now I've lost an hour and forty minutes of my life scrolling through and clicking links! SHIT. It's like The Sims!
Okay. I've got to get to sleep soon, otherwise I will be bitching and cranky tomorrow when Mom and I move all my shit out of my room so Dad and I can move things to the center of it so we can then go to the store and get paint and rollers and such and paint my room a buttery, light yellow color. (Courtney and Nickey said it would be like biscuits. And that they would buy me biscuit earrings. These are my friends.) And then hopefully be able to move in Grandpa's old/my new furniture. This week. By Thursday. Considering that's the last day I'll have off. There's also a tenative trip to Galveston with the rents in there somewhere, and Courtney and Nickey are coming by Wednesday for pool time.
I feel like complete crap. Woke up feeling okay. Progressively got worse from there. I believe we call that degenerative? Whatever. I can't be smart now. My head hurts too much.
I went in to work for like, 3 or 4 hours, Robert was a champ and my hero (along with Millar, who was being totally awesome for me and coming in to work) and came back to work even after opening this morning and all.
Came home, gorged on Chick-fil-A and watched Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Knocked Up. Entertaining.
Now I'm lying on the couch with a headache and mom being very concerned that I might have that pig illness bullshit - although she has a fair point since I'm around so many people everyday. But I'm waiting for my Torchwood to download. Gorramit, O'Halloran is being slow as shit tonight and it's not helping my mood.
Talking to Zach on AIM does.
BUT THEY BROUGHT BACK VOYAGER AND IT'S MOTHERFUCKING COUNTERPOINT. YOU BET YOUR ASS I'M WATCHING THAT SHIT. I DON'T CARE IF IT'S AT MOTHERFUCKING TWO O CLOCK IN THE GOD DAMN AM, I WILL STAY UP FOR THAT SHIT.
