I was doing some digging on the internet a few weeks back and I found this place. While I do love to write, my main focus is poetry. I've been seriously serving Christ for about four almost five years. Some of the bands I like include Jeremy Camp, Barlow Girl, Superchic(k), ZoeGirl, Avalon and Casting Crowns. I've tons of other interests and hobbies but then this inductory post would be way too long. At any rate, I just wanted to say hi is all. *waves to everyone*

Wow, I read this poem in a book, today and it will really make you stop and think, it doesn't give the author so I'm sorry for that, but I read it in the book "One Thing You Can't Do in Heaven" by Mark Cahill.

My Friend

My friend I stand in judgment now,
And feel that you're to blame somehow.
On Earth I walked with you day by day,
And never did you pint the way.

You knew the Lord in truth and Glory,
But never did you tell the story.
My knowledge then was very dim,
You could have led me safe to him.

Though we lived togther here on Earth,
You never told me of the second birth.
And now I stand this day condemed,
Because you failed to mention Him.

You taught me many thigs, that's true;
I called you "friend" and trusted you.
But I learn now that it's too late,
And you could have kept me from this fate.

We walked by day and talked by night,
And yet you showed me not the light.
You let me live, and love, and Die,
You knew I'd never live on high.

Yes, I called you "friend" in life,
And trusted you through joy and strife.
And yet on coming to this dreaful end,
I cannot now call you "my friend"

I don't know about you, but this really kicks me hard with the importance of witnessing. Much love.

In His Name,
-Sara-

I just joined this community. I am in a Christian band called Soma Christou. I have all of our songs posted on my live journal at this link:
http://mcmatthew04.livejournal.com/#item1158

I also like to write poems. My old ones are on my live journal at this link:
http://mcmatthew04.livejournal.com/#item1491

Not all my poems are Christian, some of them are just silly poems. Well, enjoy and God bless!! I will put more songs/poems on here when I write some more.

Song that has been in my head for the past few days. It's a really old song I learn when I was a kid.

King Jesus Is All

King Jesus is all (King Jesus is all)
My all in all (My all in all)
And I know that He'll answer (And I know that He'll answer)
Me when I call (Me when I call)
Walking by my side (Walking by my side)
I'm satisfied (I'm satisfied)

King Jesus is all
My all in all

Well, I went out to meet the Lord (O yeah)
Got down on my Knee-ee-ees
Said my very first prayer (Amen!)
You know the holy sprit meet me there

Well, I stepped on a rock
The rock was sound
Ooo the love of God came a tumbling down

The reason I know that He saved me Soul
I dug down deep and I found pure gold

(Repeat King Jesus is all)

I've never actually heard this song before, but my friend posted the lyrics, and it was really powerful. So I figured I'd share it with you as well.

The girl in the alley kneels with exhaustion
She's guarded by the skinny guy who limps from some infection
Behind a veil of bleached thin hair her eyes tell a story
Like a photo of Berlin, December 1944
She's looking for a handout, she's been high for several weeks now
She's too far gone for whoring and the money just gave out

And her heart still beats inside
And the blood runs in her veins
A remnant of life remains
Her heart still beats inside

The man finally comes to the door, I've seen him several times
He always looks pissed off and his sunglasses stay on
I think he got his biceps and tattoos while in prison
And it doesn't seem to bother him when he says "go to hell"

And his heart still beats inside
The blood runs in his veins
A remnant of life remains
His heart still beats inside

The thought it comes to my mind, to somehow intervene
But it could bring me trouble, and what can I do anyway?
It's hard to be effective when it happens so often
To see a life unraveling, through drawn venetian blinds
I'm sickened by compassion, I'm stifled by my limitations
Anesthetic apathy, come take the pain away

And my heart still beats inside
The blood runs in my veins
A remnant of life remains
And my heart still beats inside

Oh God, we need you here
We're sinking fast and we don't care
The evidence is all around me, on both sides of my door
Our hearts beat

hi i new here. i have some lyrics. let me know how they are? ok?( i give you my allCollapse )

aloudervoice

this is something i wrote in line with the 24-7 vision:

This is the army

These are the warriors

They look ahead to death

But still they wish to live

The unknown holds no fear for them

And their pain is overcome by love

These warriors are ready for war

But prepared for peace

These unknown heroes

Show mercy and love

But are unafraid to fight

For the very existence of the people who

Have no faith in God

They have seen first-hand

The grace of Christ

Calling them back from beyond the grave

The very doors He smashed into

Oblivion

Cannot hold them

Their message is unwanted, like radiation

They penetrate to the core of the world

Causing emotions to be freed

Destroying the equilibrium

Unhappy with the way things are

Wanting no less than perfection, like Christ

They seek a new King

And expect persecution

They risk their lives daily

For truth and love and freedom

Not waiting for tomorrow

But living for today

Praying 24-7

The only protection they need

Secretly preparing the candles in the darkness

Until that great explosion of sound

When a candle is lit

Piercing the darkness

The warriors scream with purpose

The army cries with joy

As another soldier joins the ranks

Never looking back

They give all they have to the poor

Becoming like the wind

Owning nothing, touching everything

They chill this false world

And laugh as people are

Startled by their presence

This is an army of passion

Whose motion can never be stopped

The world sees them as bones

But only cos they’re consumed by the fire of

JESUS

This is an army of young people

All young in spirit though

Not necessarily in body

Like a well-oiled machine

They work in harmony

Never fighting among themselves

This is an army that will die

So that the rest might live

They lose nothing in death

But have everything to gain in life

They want nothing for themselves

They eat out of necessity

Never to excess

The clothes on their backs are old and worn

The Bibles under their arms

Fall apart at the seams

Passed down through the generations

Stained with tears of joy and sorrow

This is the most precious thing they own –

The Word of life.

Hello haven't updated here for ages!! But here is a song i wrote a few days ago!

Believe

I was walking down
Some dead end street
Didn't look up or down
Kept my head to my feet
But when I saw Your face
I knew you held the key
Tell me how do I get
To the place where I'll be free?

Life can be found in places
You can't see
Just open up your heart
And embrace opportunity

Life can be found in places
You can't see
Just open up your heart
And let it be now let it be...

So i looked through your eyes
And saw what you might see
All these people wandering
Around aimlessly
Tell me father, father
How can they be free?
And he whispered-
Just believe..

Life can be found in places
You can't see
Just open up your heart
And embrace opportunity

Life can be found in places
You can't see
Just open up your heart
And let it be now let it be...

Let it be now let it be...

Tell me father, father
How can we be free?
And he whispered
First believe

CALL ME CHRISTIAN

Sometimes it's sink or swim
And I've been treading water
I should have expected the flood
But floating never has been easy for me
You caught me carefree
And You called me like You saw me: a sinner

And I said five wits, looks, and strength
I don't think are much in the way of companions
And good deeds couldn't pay my account
Not kinsmen nor knowledge stand
The trial of every man
Don't call me every man

Call me Christian
(I am in You, You are in me, I am in You)
Call me Christian
(I am in You, You are in me, I am in You)
Call me Christian

I've looked on the evergreen
And I've seen it constantly grow and show us life
And I want to live eternally
I want to be an imitation of Christ
I want to be a little Christ

As a boy I'd put my steps
In my brother's bigger tracks
To match his stride
And just like that I follow Jesus
Jesus is my guide.

I'm starting a drama Group at my church and my first mission in it is to Take Charge, or I guess basically direct a few skits to be thrown into our morning christmas service and also direct a full length drama to be performed at the evening service. I'm a little nervous about it, but I know it's what God wants me to do. I just need to ask for a little prayer that I keep God as the main director and me as the assistant director taking charge of what he really wants. I've got a really full plate right now, and this is definately going to be adding to the load. Please keep this awesome ministry in your prayers!
Peace, <3, and God Bless!

Boulevard to Bigger Dreams

I walk this lonely road the only one that I should ever know
Know just where it goes – it leads to Home and I am not alone

I walk this daring feat down the Boulevard to Bigger Dreams
Humanity – it sleeps. But I’m alive – no lie I’m not alone.

I’m not alone I’m not alone
I’m not alone, I’m not a…

My God is always there to walk beside me
Its for God my pathetic little heart is beating
Sometimes I pray someone out there would join me
Till then, I’m not alone

Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ahhh.
Aaah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah ahhhh.

I’m crossing past the line that cuts me from myself so I might die
No more borderline I’ve got my cross and I will stand-alone.
I see between His lines, I’m so messed up but His love makes me white
In His vital signs – each scar a promise that I’m not alone

I’m not alone I’m not alone. I’m not alone I’m not a….

My Jesus is always there to walk beside me
For Jesus my pathetic heart is beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there would join me
Till then I’m still not alone

I walk this daring feat – on the Boulevard of Bigger Dreams
Humanity- it sleeps, but I’m alive no lie, I’m not alone.
I’m not alone I’m not a….

My God is always there to walk beside me
For God my pathetic little heart is beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there would join me
Till then I’m not alone

Derived from the song “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” originally preformed by Green Day.
Rewritten by: Sarah Goolah 
Because she found the original to be completely futile and hopeless…we’re NEVER alone.
