Cats or dogs-- which do you prefer, and why?
I have cats and a dog. I've heard the sayings about how a cat's love is conditional and that they're aloof, but my cats must be some sort of an exception because they're nothing but buckets of love towards me. They cuddle, they sit with me, one of them will even watch television on my lap. They even miss me when I'm away and sulk for days when I get back, and I know it's not food related because there's always someone around to make sure they're fed. Some nights, one of cats will climb in to bed when I'm asleep and knead on me, purring. As you might imagine, this makes sleep a bit difficult! I'm not quite as appreciative of it at 4 am in the morning than I suppose I should be. ;)
Overall, both my cats and my dog shower me with affection, and I love them back just as much.
Okay, seriously. Is there really absolutely no stuffed dog toy in this world that my dog can't destroy in under an hour?
My dog loves stuffed animals. She cuddles with them. Yes, she cuddles with them... in between chewing their faces off. I tried to get her dog toy plushies, but so far she's destroyed every single one! I even tried ones that advertised being able to handle 'heavy chewing' and 'rough play'. All that meant was that it took her an hour to destroy it instead of ten minutes.
I've tried rope toys, she's not interested. Chew bones are out too. She wants soft, fluffy things that resemble animals. So she can kill and cuddle them. I looked at those no-stuffing toys, but the stuffing isn't the issue, it's the fact that she can apparently tear fabric like a boss!
Do I just give up...?

I don't care what some people say about the FMA ending being 'lame', I absolutely loved it. <3
It renews my faith that there actually can be endings that don't just punch you in the crotch as a reward for sticking with them until the end.
Thank you so much, Hiromu Arakawa!

I'm... not sure what's doing it but for some reason, comments in LJ are appearing... well, collapsed? Like, replies to a comment appear as replies to the main post - there isn't a branching comment 'tree' with all the replies together. It's kind of irritating, as it makes it so I can't tell what's a reply to who and what's a separate comment!
Any idea what might be causing this?
EDIT:
I can see the comment threads correctly in my journal, but nowhere else. Not in communities, not in other people's journals. What the heck?
EDIT2:
Okay, after downgrading to Firefox 3.0, which didn't work, then 2.0, which didn't work and BROKE Firefox, and then re-installing Firefox... it now works?
...I don't know what was wrong or how I fixed it. But it seems to be working now, so... yay?

Well, since that article Nytetrayn linked to me (belated BIG THANK YOU for that XD;) only mentioned the three volume set and didn't say if they'd be doing the new sets too, I went perusing for places that may allow me to order Rockman Gigamix.
Akadot Retail said they'd be able to special order Rockman Gigamix for me, and gave a "conservative estimate of between 10 and 20 dollars" for it. That's still much cheaper than Amazon Japan, where it would've been at least 30 bucks alone for the shipping fee.
...I wonder if their 'free shipping up to 15 dollars for orders over 15 dollars' would apply to this special order. If so, that's even better!

I see what you did there, Hitoshi Ariga. 'Rockman Gigamix', with all new content, indeed.
Now I just need to argue with myself over buying it, waiting to see if Udon'll translate it like Megamix, or do both. This is not a pleasant situation, given only Amazon Japan seems to have it and their shipping is murder enough that only a sizable order is actually worth it.
Well played, but now I am most certainly on to you.
Not sure what I am 'on to', but whatever it is, I am SO on to it.

Does anyone know if the new releases of Rockman Megamix have any actual new content, or if they're just reprints of the previous stories?
See, I have the original printing of the two volume Rockman Megamix, and then the three volume re-release after that with updated art, expanded story, and sketches. I'm not sure if I want to spend about 16 dollars apiece and then at least 37 dollars in shipping for something I already have - but just with a different cover.

So, uh, apparently someone is trying to revive that old project of Ben Hurst, where they make a movie for one of my all-time favorite cartoons. I should feel happy about this, but I'm finding myself filled with only bitterness.
See, I don't mind the games. They're okay. Sonic X was fairly 'meh', in the sense that it was nice eye candy but not much else. But Archie comics? HATE. I hate them with such a burning passion that just seeing the cover in a store fills me with RAGE. While it's nice that they finally ditched Ken Penders, he's already urinated all over the comic. No one is gonna get that smell out.
And so now they're gonna do the same to SatAM?
But I can look on the bright side. It probably won't even make it to production, as Sega'll most likely refuse to give its support. That'd be nice. Or maybe it's a big hoax! A bit early for April Fool's Day, but some of the best hoaxes took months to build up. Whoo, wouldn't that be funny!
Or maybe it might not be as horrible as I expect it to be. Maybe it won't be such a butchering piece of crap, dragging a series that managed to avoid such a treatment until now.
Or maybe pigs will fly out my ass.
