Torts class... A cell phone is ringing. Its the guy next to me. Everyone turns to look at him. He lets it ring. The professor looks at him, and he finally turns it off. The professor says, "Were you just planning to wait it out?" Student replies, "I was just hoping you forgot your hearing aids today." Current Mood: procrastinatory |

Me First!!
Since I am the moderator ( i guess--if i did this right) then I will go first. Here is a collection of things overheard at my law school the last semester and a half: Con law Prof: “If your neighbor owns a couple of people…” An Astute Analysis of the Rational Basis test: “As long as they make up some sort of purpose, they’re straight!!!’ An Honest Answer to a hard question: "I don’t know—I’m not a lawyer!!" Property Professor discussing the Rule Against Perpetuities: "I would never use Houdini or Elvis as a validating life because you will never know where they will pop up!" |

This could be fun
To my fellow law students: We all know about that one student in class who always has something to say, whether it be intelligent or not. We all know about the ridiculous high school like comments that we hear in the halls and in the bars about the lives of our classmates. How about we start sharing all of these wonderful quips? Post some quips from class, some inane comments overheard in the halls, or whatever. All I ask is that it isn't gossip. Have fun with this, folks. Brenda |
