This is why we MUST preserve our right to bear arms! I carry my pistol wherever I go, except when I enter Mexico, because I don't want to end up like the lady in the 2nd video.( Read more...Collapse )
I got back yesterday from Bogotá, the capital of Colombia in South America. I’ll post pictures and a little write up about it at another time, because I find it unimportant for now.( Read more...Collapse )
There are times when I cannot stand the living, and yesterday was one of those days, so I went to one of my favorite places, where I always find peace, Concordia Cemetery and conversed with the dead.
I sat for hours on this bench in front of the grave of one of the deadliest outlaw gunslingers of the old west, John Wesley Hardin, and let my imagination run wild. I read to those peaceful souls who surrounded me, poems of love and sonnets of death, from my two favorite Chilean Poets, Pablo Neruda and Gabriela Mistral, and Argentinean Alfonsina Storni.
I totally lost track of time, and before I knew it, the day had suddenly grown into dusk.
I drove back home, took a sleeping pill, went to bed, and thought of all the dead, until I too, became one of them as I drifted into a deep peaceful sleep.( Read more...Collapse )
1. First of all, I experienced something very strange with the internet yesterday. I couldn't access MANY things, starting from around 3 or 4 p.m., to around 7 p.m. I'm starting to notice the same problem today. Am I the ONLY one?
2. 2. I find it extremely irritating when a person talks loudly when trying to get their point of view across to others!! Grrr
How much nicer it is to the ear when someone speaks softly and with calm!
3. Former Border Patrol agent Ignacio Ramos was beaten up in prison and this should never have happened. He should never have been placed in the general population of the prison. I'm sorry this happened to him.
There are many who are demanding a full presidential pardon for both Ramos and Compean, who were convicted by a jury, of causing serious bodily injury to a RAT.
Pardon Ramos and Compean? Hell no! They shot a RAT in the back! Heroes? Give me a break!
Of course U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton is right when he states that Ramos and Compean are not heroes. They shot an unarmed RAT in the back as he ran away from them, they gathered and threw away the fired shell casings from the crime scene, and they never reported the incident to their superiors. They say that they thought they saw something shiny that looked like a gun. If this is true, then why didn't they yell to the other Border Patrol agents when they arrived at the scene to take cover? Wouldn't you tell them immediately to take cover because they felt the illegal who had just run away, was carrying a firearm?
These two agents were tried by a jury and found guilty. Those who are demanding they be pardoned were not there.
As for Ramos identifying one of the men who beat him up, it's a NO, NO, and has placed himself in greater danger, because there are a couple of things other prisoners will not tolerate, and those two things are snitches and child rapists.
The Border Patrol has existed for a very long time, and thank God we have these brave agents, and there have been countless shootings, but the only difference is, that they had cause to shoot back at the illegal, plus they REPORTED the incidents to their superiors. Ramos and Compean DIDN'T!
Shooting a men, even RATS, in the back is cowardly, and totally unacceptable in America!
We ALL have rules which must be followed at ALL times. Border Patrol agents have always played by the rules and followed the law. Ramos and Compean didn't, therefore, they are paying the consequences, and this is as it should be.

You seem to have dropped off the face of the earth. I don't mind the Livejournal part, mostly everyone's gone, but you've abandoned Facebook and Twitter. I'm just concerned that you tempted…
So where are you now and how are you doing? Yes, I did have a major accident in 2014 that kept off the scene until this year. Basically I got out of the hospital in 2 months, but then spent a year…
