This place needs more pillows
Oct. 21st, 2026 05:22 pmPoking around here showed me how much I had forgotten about how livejournal worked. It's certainly no Pillowfort ;(
Setting up and getting used to a new place is daunting. I feel like I'm getting too old for these kinds of things.
It's also showing me how good of a fit Pillowfortwas is for my wants when it came to reviewing, blogging and sharing my thoughts as well as to seeing posts from people I wouldn't have ever followed individually.
I need to figure out what to do with my reviews. Should I try to repost all my old one here? Or just the new ones? And where to? Making a seperate community might be an option, like others do for fictional writing.
Since anyone in my circle here would see every post and cannot block or mute a tag, it might be annoying to have a mix of journalling and reviews? Or not?
I would post them into an open community but
The former point is much more concerning. I started to post my reviews on Pillowfort because I wanted to have them all in one place. Sigh. Maybe I should earnestly start looking into making an old-fashioned website. When If I have the time and energy.
P.S. One thing that I did miss on Pillowfort was that drafts wouldn't autosave, which had caused me to lose mostly written longish entries ever so often. One point to Dreamwidth.

- then they'd be scattered all over the place
- and apart from one commnity about Thai media, there seem to be no communities about what I usually watch. Or if they exist, they are dead (I think?) and idk if I have the guts to just post into them as a newcomer. (As I said, daunting.)
