See, what happened was that I whined on facebook about missing a ton of family people and my sister in law commented saying they miss me too, then proceeded to call me and say that they would totally pay for a one-way ticket for me if I'd pay the other one and I could go out there and stay as long as I want. :D :D

This is so great because it actually makes me feel WANTED, you know? I'm just really happy about it.

So yeah! Going there the 14th and staying at LEAST for two weeks.

AND. I may have chosen that time frame on purpose because PSYCH MUSICAL SCREENING IN SAN DIEGO. FREE. MIDNIGHT THE 17TH. I AM GOING. I am going with a long longtime internet friend I have never met before in person! She is never on LJ anymore either! But we are partners in crime in doing a Gay Moment in Every Psychisode thing on tumblr! WHEEE!

Anyhoo. The theatre it's at is like 30 minutes north of where my brother now lives--they moved, finally, to a larger place and also to be waaay closer to where he works than before. So I get to see all of that! AND SEE THE PSYCH MUSICAL!!!! KJFJASLKJKL :D

so like, I recently became obsessed with Shameless. I've watched it from the premiere, but was always just a casual fan. That changed with the second episode of this season, and I reeeeally wish it hadn't because oh my god the intense insane love I have for Ian/Mickey is basically ruining my life. They are, legit, the ONLY couple that makes me collapse into tumblr-cliches. I've managed to keep myself from using the word 'feels', but everything else? Yeah. It's annoying and I can't even HANDLE anything about anything and also Mickey's dad needs to die.

um. so anyway!

the year sucks so far.

my grandmother fell and broke her hip. she can't have surgery to get it fixed because of her lungs and heart and how she'd probably never wake up if they put her under. so now she will never walk again, and has to be in hospice.

my cousin's cat, Snickers, that they had for 15 years, died. she was fat and sweet and had a tiny little meow and I miss her.

and now my brother and etc left to go home, and who knows when I'll see them again.

bad things: in the midst of all my excitement for people to see Charley and my nieces and nephews, I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS forget that I always feel unwanted and unwelcome when he/they are around at family functions. because people don't see them every time like they do with me, and they are cute kids, and I kinda always felt like Charley's more loved than me ANYWAY. add to that that I don't think I'm welcome to tag along to The Cousin's for New Years because again, they see me a lot and I'm just the aunt/sister and hey, maybe if I had a family of my own I'd be more appreciated.........and yeah. I may have spent many a time sitting all alone, trying not to cry.

good things: everyone LOVED their gifts this year, which honestly doesn't happen much. I mean, everyone tends to like their stuff enough, but only a few people get really excited about it, but this time, basically all the kids were all :D -faced and thanking people repeatedly. Angelina got Hello Kitty fuzzy socks and a Merida doll, and Noelle got a couple La La Loopsy toys. Elijah was THRILLED about the ninja legos Destini got him, which was great because I always feel like he'd be the most likely to be rude about something he dislikes. ;P

bad things: I missed getting a picture of Elijah and Des hugging. :|

good things: Angelina and Delaney are apparently new BFFs, even with the 9 and 13 year old differences, and they can't wait to see each other again. aaaaand I just spent a bunch of time crouched on the stairs and slithering along the floor, speaking only in whispers, in an attempt to put down presents from Santa while the kids hopefully slept through it. so that was fun!

I would have posted about this earlier, but I was out (buying a super cute plaid coat that would normally be like 50-80 bucks for 15 bucks!! :D) all day and then had to take my cat to the vet because he is dehydrated and sickly and I am terrified. :(

okay so guess whaaaat! I got a job! :D it's a seasonal thing, at a Halloween City, but dude, it's a JOB. someone finally HIRED ME. I go in Thursday for ~training~ and then it/we open Friday. I am terrified, as a) I am trained for nothing and have never worked for pay and junk, and b) OH GOD CASH REGISTERS. I mean, I still have 1st grade level math skills. I never pay with change because I don't want to stand there counting it out and second guessing my counting and people are behind me in line and the cashier is waiting and AAAHHHH I AM SORRY JUST TAKE MY BILLS AND GIVE ME WHATEVER THE FUCK BACK.

so yeah, that'll be fun on the other side. /sob

aaaanyway, the manager dude seems nice, and he said he would end up being my favourite boss I ever have. ahaahaha. he also asked what my favourite ~scary movie~ is, and I said I really like Rosemary's Baby and I was going to continue with like, The Ginger Snaps trilogy and The Omen and also spooky shows I love but he was like AH, A FAN OF THE CREEPY-SCARY, HUH. I WON'T ASK ANY MORE QUESTIONS.

soooo we shall see how horribly I do! the awesome part of it being seasonal is that it's a good START for me, you know? I mean, I know I'm ancient and pathetic and have no life and I should have been working for like, the past eighty years, but we'll thank therapy for getting me THIS far, k? and it means I won't have to work over Christmas still, muhahaha. ahem.

AND! I've been volunteering at an animal shelter too, so with THAT and this retail shit on my resume, maybe SOMEONE SOMEWHERE will actually hire me again! and pay me millions of dollars to sit at my computer as I make gifs and read fanfic!!!
