Series Finale for Nip/Tuck?

Just when you thought "Nip/Tuck" was crazy and nuts, it went over itself. I know the show is pretty out there and has done lots of crazy stuff, but this last season finale looked like a series finale to me. Here is major spoilers but most fans don't even watch the show anymore, so:

--Julia ends up in a coma and then gets amnesia forgetting everything
--Christian actually admits he has been wrong.
--Julia and Sean's daughter gets in a car accident
--Sean gets stabbed in the back continually by the nutjob that looks like Ms. Doubtfire.

With all that in mind, I feel this like a series finale. It jumped the shark and ate it. Yup, yup after a dwarf nanny, lobster baby, penis-less serial killer, perfect transexual, botched circumcision, assisted suicide to a mistress, and much more, this is what broke the camel's back for me. lol. Nah, it's just too much at once.

Nip/Tuck Season 5 Overview

I did this due to popular search engine demand, I decided to write a summary overview over Season 5 of "Nip/Tuck." For those who haven't caught up and have completely know nothing about season 5, Troy/McNamara have moved to L.A., along with EVERYONE. Yup, Liz, Matt, Kimber, and Julia have all moved to L.A. Critics have applauded "Nip/Tuck" for going back to fun pastures after going super eccentric last year with sexy kidney robbers and a little person babysitter. But, 8 episodes in this season, "Nip/Tuck" has gone back to its weird turnstyles. Julia had moved to New York with the kids and comes back, in a relationship with Olivia (Portia De Rossi)--which Christian doesn't take seriously and eventually starts a relationship with Julia. Olivia has a daughter named Eden who has targeted Sean. This year has all been Sean. Sean is seen on Hearts and Scalpels, a fictional 'Nip/Tuck' parody and gets instant fame, and naturally, Christian gets jealous. So Christian modeled for a gay porn magazine (don't ask).

Matt and Kimber roll into town, gone from the Scientology and now drug-addicted. They strike Matt's 'two daddies' for money and eventually found out. Kimber leaves Matt for a porn company and Matt ends up in a fire incident. Oh, and their daughter's name? Jenna. Eden is 'Nip/Tuck' classic as a femme fatal bitch with plenty of problems and 'mixs things up.' As for Portia De Rossi, she melds perfectly with the rest of the cast. It is like she has always been there. Christian continues to be a jerk. Julian McMahon as Christian is no longer attractive to me, with his stupidity. The last episode of this year was a Christmas one, naturally and it wasn't all that bad. While last year, the Christmas episode was near to the last episodes. Last year's I liked, it was about a bum Sean befriends and eventually is killed and used for organs. The Christian+Julia match-up is pretty much George+Izzie ("Grey's Anatomy") territory. Too little and too late. And Sean discovering they are together... eh. And Matt's sexuality is called to question once again and he is a total homophobe in the end. Boring. And Kimber is evil again? Yawn.

This Week's Guests on Nip/Tuck

Jai Rodriguez of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" guested on tonight's "Nip/Tuck." His character's name is the episode's title.. Chaz Darling. Hilariously, 'Darling' is the last name of the family in ABC new hit "Dirty Sexy Money" that stars Seth Gabel who was introduced in "Nip/Tuck." Chaz is the best gay friend of Eden, the show's new resident bitch. His surgery was to reduce his nipple, one was huge. His character didn't supply much and was pretty much a stereotype. But the good part is that he is a good actor, he doesn't fuss much.

Also guesting is John Schneider. Since leaving "Smallville," he has been plenty busy. He has been doing "Journeyman" and now 'Nip/Tuck," he also have a lot of movies under his belt. He plays Ram Peters, porn director guy who offers Matt 'gay for pay.' Ram's wife runs a daycare center.

Just when I thought the show was getting better, the characters are just not growing. Christian has just gotten more self-absorbed and infantile. He was a total dick about Julia being gay and couldn't live with her being gay so he seduced her and tried to have sex with her. It got to the point where she did have sex with him... and he honestly believe they were going to be together and she did it to get him out of her system. With this episode, we meet Eve, the daughter of Julia's new beau (Portia De Rossi). Eve seduces as well, in this case to Sean. Once again Sean is tempted. As he is in a relationship with an insecure actress and tempted to be with a crazy ass 18 year old who broke her hymen by riding her horse. Anyhoo, I would have wished the characters to evolve and grow up a bit by Season 5 so that Christian's up-tightness and righteousness would be backed up.

Portia De Rossi's role on Nip/Tuck

"Nip/Tuck" fans have been going a blazing about the new season and how it has gotten better. I like the show, always have but don't know. I am glad they moved out of Miami though because they were not accurate at all. Portia De Rossi is making headlines doing her first gay role as Julia's girlfriend. I saw the character on Tuesday and so far, she is tame and that's good. I didn't want a too-much way out there Nip/Tuck character. But knowing the show, I am sure she will bloom. Portia was a bit apprehension about doing a gay role after coming out but it is brave and shouldn't be a big deal. I think it would be unfortunate for her to be pigeoned hole and stuck in gay roles, but these days... lots of straight actors have done a lot of gay roles and they manage to escape it. So it is a good time to try something different. Plus, she has had to do something because she hasn't done anything noticeable since "Arrested Development."

Nip/Tuck Best Lesbian Relationship

Alanis Morisette was just awesome as Poppy (great name) as Liz's girlfriend, just two appearances and a half, but awesome and well-remembered. You just knew it would end in disaster but it was great while it lasted. She has played a lesbian before, on "Sex and the City."

Bravo Nip/Tuck for cameos

Kudos to Nip/Tuck for having cameos of Christian's ex-lovers. Of course, it was Christian's mind playing tricks on him. He imagined his ex-lovers in his apartment. Rebecca Gayheart came back as Natasha Charles, a blind girlfriend in season 2. Also, Abby (Rebecca Metz) the infamous 'bag lady' who Christian put a paper bag over her head as he needed twisted consolation because he thought Kimber left him at the alter. Of course, Kimber was haunting him as well. Abby was the most venenosa.

Stark Sands as Connor is super sexy

Stark Sands who played the 20-year old Connor in the November 14th episode of Nip/Tuck, was very handsome, beautiful and sexy and delivered a great performance in it. The show is all about beauty and definitely made sure he was like a masterpiece. His name sure sounds Venice Beach-ish.

Great Performances: Nathan Fillion on Lost and Alanis on Nip/Tuck

Well this is a week later but kudos to Nip/Tuck casting by having Alanis Morrisette planning Liz's new girlfriend Poppy. While her first television role was in Nickelodeon's "Don't do that Television" but ashe has done some guest roles such as God twice, in Sex and the City, Degrassi: The Next Generation, and American Dreams. She had another side, she was all sweet with Liz and then a potty mouth about Liz's weight when she was under.

On Lost, kudos to the producers by hiring Firefly's Nathan Fillion. He played Kevin, Kate's fiancee/husband in a flashback. He is so hot and thank you for having him shirtless. Also, for him weaing a Miami Heat T-Shirt on and being drugged.

Nip/Tuck's Miami not accurate at all

I don't know if Nip/Tuck films in Miami or not, but of course it protrays Miami Beach more than anything but it is not accurate to Miami at all. Miami has a lot of streets that are undergoing construction, lots of new buildings half produced, and broken old streets everywhere. Also, Hispanics, lots of hispanics and Cubans more than anything. Who are absent from Nip/Tuck. Rosie O' Donnell's earjacking, the street there looked like Miami Beach but who stole her ear were white. There is more white people in Nip/Tuck than there really are in Miami. Nip/Tuck has been on for four years, I forget it is even suppose to be Miami.

There are a lot of houses with wood which is not common in Miami. The only accurate-looking thing is the doctor's parking garage. That one really does look like a usual Miami parking garage.

Nip/Tuck goes to the Future!

In the upcoming November 14 episode of Nip/Tuck, they go to the future 2026 where Annie is played by Jennifer Elise Cox (Brady Bunch Movies, Lovespring International) and Conor by Stark Sands (Hope & Faith, Six Feet Under). Jennifer, by the way is who I mentioned in a post back in June. She's 36, which is a bit older than Annie would be in 2026 but close enough.

Stark is 28 which is way older than Conner would be: 20. I'm surprised they went past their teen years but thats great they are going so far.

Nip/Tuck: Watch out, still graphic

Nip/Tuck is pretty graphic but not outside of the office in a such a way it is too graphic. So watch out for seventh episode of the season 4 when a 'Ear Jacking' occurs.

Nip/Tuck Season 4 Plot forming

Season 4 seems as steamy as ever, the season 4 'villain' or big plot seems to come to furition. First up, last mentioned in my last post (duh!) the new boss Michelle is being haunted by her past--a wierdo French woman was her pimp and is still in love with her. Michelle owes her money for dumping the job to take care of a familar member, so she is trying to pay her back. Then this craze lady (I forget her name) forces her to do plastic surgery on one of her 'girls'. Last week Liz looses a kidney after having a last night stand, they steal it. Then this episode, it is found out that this pimp bitch is also stealing oragans. hmm....

Nip/Tuck Season 4 so far--Closeted Boss

Just saw the third episode of the fourth season.

Sanaa McCoy Lathan (Love + Basketball, Something New) plays Michelle, Christian and Sean's new boss. She and her husband (played by I Dream of Jeanie's Larry Hagman in episode 1) bought the business and she harbors a secret. At the end of episode 2, Resident lesbian Liz catches Michelle making out with an older white woman and fondeling her breast. Liz calmly confronted her about what she saw and offered to help (also giving a 'who are kidding?' attitude) and then Michelle went out to the operation room to fire her. Liz got pissed ofcourse. Sean definded her of course but Michelle put her probation. Liz made a great case about her being a closet case and pushing it on her. Well, I think there is more to her to just being a closet case, she seemed not to really be into it. Awesome show!

Also awesome on the show is the parrellels between the two night nurses they interview. The first is a girl with image problems who call their unborn child 'handicapable', when they say that to the Station Agent's Peter Dinklage says thats the worst thing to call a child. Also, the girl Monica was for surgery while Peter's character incouraged Julia to look into the child's eyes and getting to know him--Connor, he is also born in the episode.

Nip/Tuck Season 4 brings Richard Chamberlain

Guess what everyone! Nip/Tuck is coming back this fall for its fourth season and Richard Chamberlain (Thorn Birds, Shogun, Dr. Kildare) 72, will guest star in the second episode. TV Guide magazine claims he makes a 'rare appearance' but he has done a couple roles in this century, guest starring in Drew Carrey, Will & Grace, and Hustle. Not so rare. Anyway, they made a point that he revealed he's gay three years ago. Maybe the reason he guested in Will & Grace but I don't remember.

Anyhoo, he was a big heathrob back when and he believes that it was best he kept his sexuality a secret. In Nip/Tuck, he plays a gay millionare Arthur Stiles. Now, these days it is still dicey for an actor to reveal their sexuality but good for him that he is getting respect now. In the episode, he brings in his young lover (Thad Luckinbill also from a soap, The Young and the Restless) to McNamara/Troy. Dr. Christian Troy (Julian McMahon) makes the guess that Siles is trying to make his lover look like a younger version of himself. In Nip/Tuck tradition Arthur Stiles is a 'man of questionable character.' Apparently this is based on actual events, specifically something Liberace had done.

I wanted to find out if it was true that Liberace did this to his lovers and found an CNN interview between Larry King and former lover Scott Thorson (who wanted palimony at one point) in 2002. Click here for it and here is an excerpt from it:

KING: All right, as I said, you do sound like him, and anybody watching this now will notice the inflections. What do you mean plastic surgery?
THORSON: ...I put on quite a bit of weight. And Lee was not very happy with me. And through his hairdresser, [omitted] he was introduced to a man [omitted] which was a plastic surgeon..... As a matter of fact, I just had the implant for my chin taken out.
KING: To make you look what?
THORSON: ..And Lee (Liberace) was introduced to the doctor and he says, "I want you to come with me." And Lee walked him through -- went into the -- you know, into the bedroom and said -- there was a picture of Liberace. Oh, I guess he was probably in his 30s, Larry. He says, "I want you to create Scott to look like me when he was younger; so he looks like my son." He wanted me as his son. But at the same time, he wanted me as his lover.
KING: Bizarro.
THORSON: Bizarro, time.

I can't believe it but wow, sounds plausible. Also, if you got enough money, any um, self-love can happen. I forget the love for it. Neptisim? no that's not it. But wierder things have happened on Nip/Tuck. Thad Luckinbill looks pretty happy in the picture at the top anyway. Let's compare young Richard Chamberlain and Thad Luckinbill's looks.

He looks familar? Well, he was the object of everyone's attention in Buffy the Vampire Slayer seventh season episode "Him" where a football jacket made everyone attracted to him even resident Lesbian Willow.

Richard Chamberlin even did the voice of the narator for Saban's The Little Mermaid American dub.

He was recently on CSI. Thad looks like he has been through enough plastic surgery or skinnier than he was before. Strange since history has shown that blondes in Hollywood tend to get chubbier (Leonardo Di Caprio, Nick Carter, Anthony Michael Hall (Edward Scissorhands anyone?), etc.)

Richard in Dr. Kildare, he has been in a thirty-year old relationship with his partner Martin Rabbett and live together in Hawaii.

Kelly Carlson: The 'Other Woman' on Everwood

I love Everwood and it is just getting better. I wll be terribly sad if it is not on the air anymore. The opposites attract couple Bright Abbott (Chris Pratt) and Hannah Rogers (Sarah Drew) ofcourse had to lead to traversty. Bright wanted sex and she was not into premartial so he found it ersewhere on Kelly Carlson who is famous for being played Nip/Tuck vixen Kimber. No one can resist this lady, ofcourse he will cheat on Hannah. Ofcourse, you feel bad, munipulative people.
