About the Community
Welcome to the Kindred's LiveJournal community. This is a place where those who adamantly, or fractionally believe themselves to be of the Therianthropic or Otherkin spirituality, or believe themselves to contain an essence, soul or spirit of an animal or mythological being. Here, you can be open-minded with others of a shared belief and talk about your encounters or endeavors among your co-existence with a phenotype. Whether you consider yourself to be a Therianthrope, Otherkin, Kindred, Anthro/Furrie or someone who just shares an interest in this type of faith, then please feel free to join. In this community, you will find others who feel they are more then *just* human. No one is exempt.

This is a open-membership community. So upon joining, you will be granted access to post at any time. There are, however, a few rules concerning membership and participation. Since this is a community wrought for people to be open and comfortable with those sharing the same beliefs and lifestyles, there are a few general guidelines concerning etiquette that must be followed as per usage of this journal. Violation of any of these rules will be handled without question or biases.

Please keep in mind that this nature of spirituality is a touchy subject for most people and should be treated with respect and common consideration and moral integration. Failure to comply could ultimately result in termination of membership and permanent banishment from the community.

1) Be respectful and courteous to every member. This means no lashing out, rude remarks or personal character bashing. If I wanted a crude spectators sport, I could sit on the sidelines of PoE for that.

2) Please do not utilize this community to promote any advertisement, spam or illegal procuring of any kind. You may however, list any related communities you run/co-run or links to websites of such topics. Any other posts containing beyond what is listed, will be deleted upon detection and a warning, given.

3) Keep in mind that this board is openly viewed by people of all ages, and nationalities. Basic rules of netiquette apply here due to sensitive nature and partial commonalities. Therefore, all discussions must be contained to a proper acceptable level, and profanity is not tolerated here.

4) *NO* Role Playing. As much as I love to delve in the aspects of a good RPG myself, this is not what I made the community for. Wherein, we do not accept that here. If you wish to participate in such entertainment, please do it, else where. This is a discussion board.

5) Please try to keep the discussions related to the topic, or purpose of this board. We fully understand that there are times when bad luck befalls us and are in need of some comfort, but we cannot allow this to become a fully off-topic journal. If you are in need of some advice or a little help with subjects outside the actual purpose of this board, they are welcome, but within reason. Do not post of subjects that really can be posted, elsewhere.

6) Absolutely NO! fighting. This journal is not an advocate for flame wars, and we do not want such here. If your only intentions are to start, or incur fights, then please do not join. If you're having a problem with another member, or someone outside the community, please try to handle the problems via e-mails or other methods, or contact a moderator or me personally. However, of you wish to alert the community to a potential outside problem and are afraid of evoking a war, then keep the announcements to locked entries.

7) NO ranting. Though, we encourage you to voice your opinions, do not post continuous messages containing character bashing or excerpts of personal vendettas. Any posts found with excessive ranting or voicing of feelings outside a professional context, will be deleted when found and a warning, given.

8) Anyone found trolling the community will be banned on the spot and their posts, deleted. If you cannot be mature and show common sense with proper netiquette, you are not wanted here.

9) Posts containing art, writing or of works related to Therianthropy, Otherkin or related subjects are welcome here. Just keep it to topic. If it's not related to animals or of the ilk, I.E. Angels, satyrx(humoid with the lower body of a snake), centaurs, satyrs and mermaids, please do not post it. We are not a on-line art gallery and are not here to host your personal works not related to the communities purpose.
9a) Also, keep the rating level of all artworks, writing and related to a PG to PG-13 rating. Remember, this is a all age open community and proper decency and commonality must be shown. However, tasteful nudity is acceptable, just nothing explicit.

10) Please do not post quizzes unless it's related to the topic. Polls are not welcome, period! But, please try to keep the memes and such to a minimum. This is after all, a discussion board.

11) Absolutely NO human bashing! I know that the bodies or species we are being forced to live in can be painful, distasteful and out-right sucky from time to time. But, this is not the place to discuss how "filthy" or "wicked" humanity is. Got a problem with it in general? We may be able to help you, but posts harboring misanthropic context is not accepted and will be deleted.

12) All opinions are welcome and we understand that everyone is entitled to them. However, there are certain guidelines that should be followed when presenting an opinion or ideal and common respect should follow. Opinions should be given within reason.

Violation of any of these rules results in a three strikes and you're out basis. After the third verbal/text warning, you will be banned from the community and all membership rights, revoked. Please heed these guidelines and keep them in mind.

Aside from the rules, we encourage anyone sharing in this spiritual, metaphysical, physical belief and embodiment to join us and confer with others sharing in the same ideals and faith. We welcome all who are in need of a good home, or a place to stay. Feel free to talk about your personal beliefs, encounters, feelings or stories relating to your kindred nature.

We though have to sadly add that there is no way for anyone to tell you what you are; or if you're even a Therianthrope, Otherkin, Kindred, etc. This is something you must do through personal soul-searching and meditation. Only YOU can answer that for yourself.
