"Jalbani Baloch " جلبانی بلوچ Jalbani Baloch
Over the years, various writers have made efforts, according to their abilities, to document the history, lineage, culture, traditions, and collective identity of the Jalbani Baloch tribe. Among the earliest attempts to preserve the introduction and historical background of the Jalbani tribe in written form, the joint efforts of Khair Muhammad Azad Jalbani and Al-Haj Muhammad Amin Jalbani hold particular significance. This book includes a detailed interview with Al-Haj Muhammad Amin Jalbani, in which he provides important information, in his own words, about the lineage, history, tribal traditions, notable personalities, and presence of the Jalbani Baloch community in various regions. Thus, this book may be regarded not merely as a written work, but also as an important effort to preserve oral history in written form.
In connection with the historical and tribal introduction of the Jalbani Baloch tribe, various written works have also emerged in the Dera Ghazi Khan region concerning the history, notable personalities, and social services of the Jalbani community. Similarly, written and book-length material about the Jalbani tribe is available in the Sindhi language in Sindh. This material helps in understanding the history, culture, and social role of the Jalbani families settled there.
Continuing this scholarly and research-oriented tradition, the forthcoming book “The Jalbani Baloch Tribe (History and Culture)”, authored by Dr. Muhammad Asad Jalbani, represents a new and comprehensive effort. The primary objective of this book is to bring together, in a research-based manner, the history, lineage, culture, traditions, tribal system, notable personalities, geographical spread, and collective contributions of the Jalbani Baloch tribe. In this way, it seeks to preserve the historical and cultural heritage of the Jalbani tribe and provide future generations with a reliable scholarly resource.
Building upon previous publications as well as oral and written traditions, this work attempts to present the history of the Jalbani Baloch tribe in a more organized, coherent, and scholarly manner. In this respect, “The Jalbani Baloch Tribe (History and Culture)” is both a continuation of earlier scholarly efforts and a new attempt to document the history and culture of the Jalbani tribe.

گذشتہ کئی برسوں کے دوران مختلف اہلِ قلم نے اپنی اپنی صلاحیتوں اور بساط کے مطابق جلبانی بلوچ قوم کی تاریخ، نسب، ثقافت، روایات اور اجتماعی شناخت کو دستاویزی شکل دینے کی کوششیں کی ہیں۔ جلبانی قوم کے تعارف اور تاریخی پس منظر کو تحریری صورت میں محفوظ کرنے کی ابتدائی کاوشوں میں خیر محمد آزاد جلبانی اور الحاج محمد امین جلبانی کی مشترکہ کوشش کو خصوصی اہمیت حاصل ہے۔ اس کتاب میں الحاج محمد امین جلبانی صاحب کا ایک تفصیلی انٹرویو بھی شامل ہے، جس میں انھوں نے اپنی زبانی جلبانی بلوچ قوم کے نسب، تاریخ، قبائلی روایات، معروف شخصیات اور مختلف علاقوں میں جلبانی بلوچ برادری کی موجودگی کے حوالے سے اہم معلومات فراہم کی ہیں۔ اس طرح یہ کتاب محض ایک تحریری تصنیف نہیں بلکہ زبانی تاریخ کو تحریری شکل میں محفوظ کرنے کی ایک اہم کاوش بھی قرار دی جا سکتی ہے۔
جلبانی بلوچ قوم کے تاریخی اور قبائلی تعارف کے حوالے سے ڈیرہ غازی خان کے خطے میں بھی جلبانی برادری کی تاریخ، معروف شخصیات اور سماجی خدمات کے بارے میں مختلف تحریری کام سامنے آئے ہیں۔ اسی طرح سندھ میں بھی جلبانی قوم کے بارے میں سندھی زبان میں تحریری اور کتابی مواد دستیاب ہے۔ یہ مواد وہاں آباد جلبانی خاندانوں کی تاریخ، ثقافت اور سماجی کردار کو سمجھنے میں معاون ثابت ہوتا ہے۔
اسی علمی اور تحقیقی روایت کو آگے بڑھاتے ہوئے ڈاکٹر محمد اسد جلبانی کی زیرِ تصنیف کتاب "جلبانی بلوچ قبیلہ(تاریخ و ثقافت)" ایک نئی اور جامع کوشش کی نمائندگی کرتی ہے۔ اس کتاب کا بنیادی مقصد جلبانی بلوچ قوم کی تاریخ، نسب، ثقافت، روایات، قبائلی نظام، معروف شخصیات، جغرافیائی پھیلاؤ اور اجتماعی خدمات کو تحقیقی انداز میں یکجا کرنا ہے۔ اس طرح یہ کتاب جلبانی قوم کے تاریخی اور ثقافتی ورثے کو محفوظ کرنے اور آنے والی نسلوں کے لیے ایک معتبر علمی سرمایہ فراہم کرنے کی کوشش ہے۔
سابقہ مطبوعات کے ساتھ ساتھ زبانی اور تحریری روایات سے استفادہ کرتے ہوئے یہ تصنیف جلبانی بلوچ قوم کی تاریخ کو زیادہ منظم، مربوط اور تحقیقی انداز میں پیش کرنے کی کوشش کرتی ہے۔ اس اعتبار سے "جلبانی بلوچ قبیلہ (تاریخ و ثقافت)" ایک طرف سابقہ علمی و تحقیقی کاوشوں کا تسلسل ہے، جبکہ دوسری طرف جلبانی قوم کی تاریخ اور ثقافت کو دستاویزی شکل دینے کی ایک نئی اور اہم کوشش بھی ہے۔
