Veronica Mars Fic Recs

Rewatching the show in preparation for the movie has made me nostalgic for Veronica Mars fanfic.

Last time I posted recs here was spring 2007! How time does fly. :)

I'll go first! A recent story I enjoyed was The Napa House by lodessa. (Ah, I miss the Kanes.) Here's the top-10-favorites post I wrote last fall, and this spring I wrote fic about Weevil from the perspective of five women in his community.

Occasionally, when the going gets tough, the tough ... go out of town, for the summer, a roadtrip, a semester abroad, a honeymoon, or, you know, just because. It makes sense to me, especially when you consider what an evil, warped, claustrophobic environment Neptune can be. Personally, I'm addicted to following Veronica on her travels to Canada, Scotland, Italy, England, and other, far away places as she takes pictures, explores castles and refugee camps, or studies. Each of the following features a trip out of the country for Veronica, her friends and lovers. So, please fasten your safety belt, place your tray tables and seat backs in the upright and locked position, rip open that tiny bag of peanuts, crank up the iPod, and enjoy.

Every now and again, I find myself wanting to read fics that create some strained relationships between the characters. One such type involves threesomes and how the complicated sexual relationship can work within the confines of the characters and the show.

Two of my very favorite (and rarely seen) characters on VM consist of the strapping men that make up the Clemmons family. Butters Vincent is quirky, yet lovable (Space elevator, anyone?), and his father, the illustrious vice principal at Neptune High, is even a match for Miss Mars. While left behind when Veronica and Co. went to college, this dynamic duo can never be forgotten. Here are a few of my favorite fics featuring the Clemmons', in minor and major capacities.
