Poor Condition of Government Hospitals

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw attention to the poor condition of government hospitals in our country. These hospitals are meant to provide affordable healthcare to the public, yet their current state reflects serious negligence.

Many government hospitals suffer from a lack of basic facilities, including clean wards, proper sanitation, and essential medical equipment. Patients often face long waiting hours, overcrowded conditions, and the unavailability of medicines. In some cases, there is also a shortage of qualified staff, which further affects the quality of treatment.

Such conditions not only cause inconvenience but also put patients’ lives at risk. Poor hygiene and mismanagement can lead to the spread of diseases instead of curing them. It is deeply concerning that those who cannot afford private healthcare are left with no reliable option.

The government must take immediate steps to improve the healthcare system. Proper funding, regular inspections, better management, and strict accountability are necessary to bring positive change. Ensuring quality healthcare is not a privilege but a basic right of every citizen. I hope the concerned authorities will take urgent action to improve the condition of government hospitals.
