This is a community for those interested in and/or able to speak Mandarin Chinese. Native speakers, beginners and everyone inbetween are all welcome, but let's keep this focused specifically on language.
zhongwen has the same rules most communities on LiveJournal have. No spam, no flame wars and please try to keep the cross posting to a minimum. The moderator will delete off-topic posts with no notice, so don't even bother.
People often post questions about Chinese here. While we understand and appreciate that many of our users enjoy helping others, please make sure that you're correct before you answer a question incorrectly. There's no shame in not knowing something, whereas replying to someone with wrong advice will make you look like a total tool.
