AIRSAT 01 [China Science and Technology Satellite Group]
AIRSAT 01 and 02 satellites are part of a series of Chinese commercial remote sensing satellites developed for China Science and Technology Satellite Group Co., Ltd. They are carrying a SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) payload.
The satellites are Ku-band synthetic aperture radar satellites with a resolution better than 1 meter. The satellites verify the flat-panel SAR satellite system and use the unfolded cylindrical parabolic SAR antenna for the first time in the world, with on-board imaging processing capabilities.
