Feng Yun 4C [National Satellite Meteorological Center]

China's geostationary meteorological satellite program FY-4 (Feng Yun 4) is the second generation of chinese geostationary meteorological satellites. These satellites will replace the earlier FY-2 series.

FY-4 is a three-axis-stabilized spacecraft. Feng Yun-4C (FY-4C) was launched on 26 December 2025, from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center aboard a Long March 3B carrier rocket. It will replace the FY-4A satellite. The Fengyun-4C satellite is positioned at 133 east longitude above the equator, with an observation area ranging from 68 east longitude to 162! west longitude, covering central and eastern of China and the Asia-Pacific region.
