MuSat 2 [Muon Space]
The MuSat-2 satellite is a demonstration spacecraft with the primary goal: to demonstrate and validate the on-orbit performance of Muon Spaces in-house built microwave and hyperspectral sensors.
With the 70-kilogram satellite, Muon intends to demonstrate the technology stack developed for their climate-monitoring constellation.
It carries a GNSS reflectometry (GNSS-R) mission measuring ocean surface wind speeds and soil moisture.
MuSat-2, and 3 will be nearly identical satellites aside from their sensor suite and will operate in independent, circular, sun-synchronous orbits.
MuSat 3 has been replaced by a MuSat Gen2 based mission.
