VEP 4 [JAXA]

The VEP 4 (Vehicle Evaluation Payload 4) is a demonstration payload to be flown on the second flight of the H-3-22S launch vehicle.

VEP 4 consists of a non-seperable dummy mass attached to stage 2 of the launch vehicle. It will also deploy the small CE-SAT 1E and TIRSAT satellites.

The mass and centre of mass of VEP 4 is the same as ALOS 3. Technically VEP 4 will be seperated to test the separation system, but will stay connected via stopper bolts to avoid producing space debris.
