In valley to south of Upton Cross. To east of road calciner chimney and wheelpit. To west extensive dumps and buildings at Salisbury Shaft.

From the roadside lay-by at the bottom of the dip near Upton Cross a public footpath heads off up the small alley and after 200m or so a large rock dump opens on the upslope side. Pyrite is abundant here in pieces as large as a football. There is no way through to the main site however.

The main site may be reached from the lay-by after walking 300m up the main road and then taking the public footpath towards Caradon Hill. The chimneys are visible over the tree tops beyond the house. 2 chimneys are associated with engine houses, the other stands alone.

Salisbury shaft right beside the engine house sitting on a level platform above the tip area. Mineral samples are scarce throughout the tip.
