An old silver and cobalt mine, started in 1727 and worked until 1857. During the late 19th century, it was one of the most important mines in the district and employed up to 236 workers. In 1923, it was tried again but not restarted. From 1947 until 1951, it was reworked for uranium.
Now a tourist mine ("Exhibition Mine Markus Röhling Stolln Frohnau e. V.").

The mine worked on the following veins:
- Benno Morgengang
- Christian Flacher
- Erst Neuglücker Flacher
- Friedlicher Vertrag Gang
- Frisch Glück Flacher
- Gabe Gottes Flacher
- Glück mit Freuden Flacher
- Gott gibt unerwartet Segen Morgengang
- Heynitzer Flacher
- Hieronymus Morgengang
- Hilfe Gottes Flacher
- Krönung Flacher
- Lommer Flacher
- Markus Röhling Morgengang
- Neuer Fürstenglücker Flacher
- Neuerscheinunger Morgengang
- Neuglück Beihilfe Flacher
- Neuglücker Flacher
- Prinz Friedrich August Morgengang
- Seigerer Flacher
- Treue Freundschaft Stehender
- Unvermutet Glück Morgengang
- Wilhelm Morgengang
- Wilhelm Vorsicht Flacher

Around 1835, the Markus Röhling sett included numerous neighbouring mines and adits. From 1825 until its closure, the Krönung Mine and all its workings were included with the sett. The Krönung Mine, however, continued operations until 1879 and was later included with the Himmelfahrt Mine at Buchholz.
