The mine is situated about 25km NE of the town Amboasary in the southeastern part of Madagascar. Several pyroxenite bodies; the most important ones were worked by Societé des Minerais de la Grande-Ile (SMGI) in the 1960s.

Besairie (1966) gave these map coordinates for Bevaho: X= 132,8 and Y= 400,6 (Map sheet Behara).
