Civil parish (CP) of Bere Ferrers. "Beer Ferris" is a frequent mis-spelling.

References to a "Beer Ferris Mine", that are occasionally found in the 19th century mineralogical literature and on labels, should be considered as referring to an unspecified mine in Bere Ferrers CP (in the British literature, referring to the CP instead of the nearest population center to specify a mineral locality has some tradition). Presumably, an original report made reference to "a Beer Ferris Mine", which then became erroneously truncated to "Beer Ferris Mine". A specific mine of this name, however, does not exist.
