Kuroko-type Pb-Zn-Ag ore.
The Fukasawa deposits are composed of 14 orebodies, which is distributed in an area of 1.5 km in NW-SE by 0.8 km in NE-SW direction. The largest zone of mineralization is the Tsunokakezawa No.1 orebody having a horizontal dimension of 600 m E-W by 350 m N-S and accounting for more than 50 % of the mines ore reserve. The total reserve has been estimated to be in excess of 5 million tons, with average grade of 0.6 g/t Au, 107 g/t Ag, 1.2 % Cu, 3.2 % Pb, 12.0 % Zn and trace amounts of Bi, Sb, Ga and Mo. The Fukasawa deposits exhibit, like other kuroko-type deposits, a vertical zoning; siliceous ore, gypsum ore, yellow ore, black ore, barite ore and tetsusekiei (ferruginous chert) in ascending order.
